I see the internet as a place that if your opinion differs from the norm then you arent going to fit in. And you WILL be made fun of. And not many people have the ability to debate and use logic. Logic is a taught course and is not just whatever people think it might be.

MysticStar, well, I come to the area quite often enough, so I should know the geography a bit. Well, if you're not a 'scene' person (and that's fine) I would suggest what I usually suggest, ie to get into some form of group that does stuff that you'd enjoy partaking in, or learning or sharing in. For instance, you could do volunteering, go to a drama club, a book club, a swimming club, a walking club, a dance class, a language class, a technical class, you name it. There's bound to be some group of humans in which you'll find a valid and validating partner. It actually is a question of putting yourself out there; Now, if you're a bit of a home bod, then it'll be tough to just sit there and hope a fairy godmother conjures up a steady partner out of thin air, but one can dream, I guess.
Why is your handle "Mystic Star"? Care to explain?

Kids these days...
I'm a believer that the more desperate you are for something, the harder it is to obtain it.
But it's a big world YMMV...
