See, kissing on a first date isn't just for sluts.

Before the next time he comes over, maybe a small bottle of whiskey and an extra toothbrush should be on your shopping list. If he's that much of a drinker, you don't want a full bottle of whiskey around!

I thought so, I was just nervous, when I get to thinking I can drive myself crazy. I dont think he is a big drinker though, he just seemed like he got caught up in the fun of it all. An extra toothbrush is a good idea.

Yeah Lol he caught me off guard, the last person to steal a kiss from me was the neighbor girl when I was 12.

Or maybe he always wears sexy underwear? I wasn't mad at him for stealing a kiss, I liked it, do you think was he out of line?

No, I don't think either of you was out of line. He was too drunk to appreciate some serious loving, and you were good enough to wait until he can really appreciate it. The plan went according to what you were hoping. Building a connection.

Wearing the sexy underwear could be a usual thing, or could have been him being hopeful and wanting to give you his best shot... who knows? Maybe it's for you to find out from him whether this is a thing he does, or whether this is his usual underwear. As for the kiss, well, let's say he probably was just telling you, in his own way, that he'd enjoyed the evening. Maybe there will be more kissing to come. Again, who knows?

The thing you have to find out is if he needs Dutch courage, because maybe he's quite shy in fact, or whether he was just drinking as a replacement activity (for want of anything better to do .... anything for a buzz, right? ) As I said, next time, try to curb the drinking a bit and try to keep both your heads on so you can enjoy something more definitive, even if it's just a serious / good conversation about your expectations or where you feel this budding relationship is taking you. It's alright to talk about what you enjoy about one another.

What I did note from your previous message was that he voiced a desire to meet up again, so I think you've got a good chance.

So what's the next date?
Sexy underwear is usually a big sign. Then again, I might be a bit of slut.

I don't know I have a CAS match next Saturday, maybe we can take a walk saturday night, I love walking for hours around the nicer neighborhoods looking at houses and talking.

Or we could hang out in the alley behind River street and Shanghai sailors, if you've seen the alley it has a 1880's Shanghai vibe, everytime I walk through that alley I think I might get Shanghai'd LOL.

I guess I could ask him.

Ought to invite him to your match, he might get a kick out of it.

What do you shoot? I've been wanting to get into CAS. Still need 2nd SAA and a period Shotgun. Have a Uberti Hombre 1873 - 357 and a Rossi 92 - 357.

I have a pair of BP Pietta 1860's and a single shot 12, I could use but figure that would really slow everything / everyone down.

I have the slowest guns ever. It depends what you're going for single shotguns were probably more common than doubles during the period and percussion revolvers survived well into the 1890's. It depends on what persona you're going for.

I have:
1860 Army .44, 1851 Navy .36, Remington New Model Army .44, Griswold and Gunnison .36 all have been tuned for reliability by me, I don't plan in using the G&G I just got it for fun.

I also have a Uberti Hombre .45 Colt but its on loan and I might just trade it to the guy.

My shotguns are a Stevens 311A 20ga SxS, and a "Lovell" Single shot 12 ga from 1899 it was free the guy was going to throw it away because it was crusted orange in rust and filled with sawdust for some reason so I reworked it and rust browned the barrel then tested it and its still more than safe to shoot it has a very good lock up. Its a neat gun and has a homemade hammer I guess to replace a lost or broken one, I'm not the first amatuer gunsmith to own it. My shotguns are both pretty slow.

Rossi 92 Carbine 20 inch .45 Colt, I pick it up today and I will have it tuned by Wednesday. I was borrowing a 92 and I liked it plus they are affordable. To tell the truth I'd rather have a Colt-Burgess from Uberti.

I use a mix of BP and Smokeless in my 311A and BP only in my Lovell and revolvers. I plan on using a mix of BP and Smokeless in my 92 I tune everything myself its more work but its worth it to get something slicker. I load .45 colt, 12ga, and 20ga aswell make paper cartridges for my revolvers. I also cast my own balls and bullets its pretty cheap. My leather is from Allan C. Byrne of Old Pueblo Saddle Company and its in a period style it not a speed rig but it looks correct.

Use an hombre and a 60' Army, mismatched guns were seen more often that not. Matched pairs are more common in CAS for sure. What kind of shotgun do you have?

I'll post picks in my albums.

Nice setup, I think we have similar tastes in guns.

I picked up an H&R single shot 12 gauge about year ago after watching that pathfinder guy on youtube shooting his with BP. Picked up a 410 H&R for my partner to use 6 months ago. Problem w/ the H&R's is they have ejectors which I could probably remove / modify.

I have 3 - 870's and a Mossberg 500 plus a ton of EBR's (mostly AKM's). Money was burning a hole in my pocket Saturday, so I ordered another AR complete lower from Palmettoy. $159 for a Magpul ambi-lower. Going to wait till their magpul upper goes on sale again.

Just got into shooting BP right before heading to Africa, finding you can't just own 1 or 2.

They shoot pretty good too! Shot this 5rd group at 21ft in mid December while home on vacation using 2 hands, 30gr FFFg, wonder wad, with Hornady .454 ball.

I tuned my 1860's using youtube videos. Would still like to add cap posts to both of them.
Example from the web: https://c2.staticflickr.com/8/7632/28740...36abb9.jpg

Hoping to home for good in the next couple of months and will work on that cap post mod. Supposed to really cut down on cap jams.

Very nice I like your leather.

I started with percussion revolvers and shocked most of the old timers when I didn't suck. Percussion revolvers can confound even an experienced shooter. I practiced for months before even going to a match so when I started shooting I had my stuff together and so far Ive being 100% on my percussion revolvers. I only use the colts in matches I think they handle better. I have only shot two matches so far, so Im not really experienced. I think as long as the revolver is properly tuned you can avoid a lot of the problems and keep the caps on tight. I load at the unloading table and cap at the loading table, I also bring a cigar box full of paper cartridges with me it saves a lot of time. I roll paper cartridges all day at home its pretty easy, I dont even use nitrated paper, just tissue paper.

35 gr 3f .44 and 22 gr 3f .36 I have had luck with full house loads.

I should take Josh to the match, he might even want to shoot if somebody would lend him a rifle.

I think you can disable the automatic ejectors.

He was probably a little nervous too and just got carried away in the moment. I can hoover down drinks when I'm nervous like it's going out of fashion, without even realising

An evening stroll around Savannah sounds perfect. It's one of the oldest cities in the US isn't it?
