My favorites as a child was a set of four books illustrated by Eric Kincaid that was given to my sister and I by a family friend.

I remember reading the Narnia Chronicles and loving them.

I think the first book I ever read was called The Boy Who Liked Sums, or something like that. I won it as a prize at Sunday School. No idea now what happened in it, I just remember the cover and feeling proud of myself for finishing it!
