well basically its hard to explain how true love is. your in love with someone without any mean.. what i mean is.. you attracted to them because you feel it. not only for their looks. but the way you think about the person you admiring.
love is blind you know.. but the there are more different explanation for everyone.

I do the traditional courting of a man if I like him and want more than just sex. Wink

I bring flowers to a man, get a bottle of champagne to share with him; I ask him out, treat him nice; write him a romantic/sexual letter (actual hand-written letter)...just to mention a few of the things. I think one should be a gentleman when it comes to romance/friendship. Besides, I love men and I think they should be treated well.

It's not dead to me, this approach.

Perhaps true love is somewhere over the rainbow. As a kid everyone would talk about where the other side of the rainbow was and being a curious 5 year old I would try to imagine it how would you get there. I remember being on vacation and seeing a rainbow going down the highway and trying to get my dad to drive faster so we could catch up to it. Of course never could catch up to it.

It is far to common that people fall in love with someone and want a relationship for all the wrong reasons. I was there, been there and it took me a long time to realize it.

I think what gets me bummed out is that each time I felt I got my head above water, whether it was in life, financially or with a guy I end up back down on the deep end. So I feel like the idea of "true love" isn't really a real thing. All those wonderful feelings is a false flag, we're not being objective, it's a crush...and we all know what crushes are and what they do. Oh but I have been looking, hoping that someone else will surprise me and prove me wrong but not a single spark. I live in one of the worst places to date, even if I wanted to "pretend" being straight.

I do think this is probably the best advice I've come across...

It is a tough pill to swallow and even I want to disagree and say no it work this way! However, it all makes sense. One thing for sure is that a relationship doesn't cure anything, doesn't cure loneliness or change you per se. If you think it cures all the things that are wrong...wait and see.

You really have to be someone's friend, honestly, I mean if you think you're going to spend your life with someone because you like them for...reasons, you can't just hop into a relationship and expect that...Yeah there are exceptions where people get lucky but often isn't the case.

Of course good friends are hard to find too, I mean if you're relying on dating apps and like me live out in the boonies you really have to strike oil just to be lucky enough to find someone who can be good friends with, share interests and so forth.
