Bizzare British weather
#1
So it's late April and at about 2am today it was freezing cold with a short snow storm.
For about15 mins huge snow flakes were just pelting down like rain.

Now it's 8am the sun is shining, it's seriously hot and I have bloody sunburn.

From Arctic to tropical in about five hours.

British weather in a nutshell.

It is also still April and snow flakes in March and April are not uncommon. In France this phenomenon is known as 'giboulées', could be slush storms, could be snow storms, or could even be hail storms too, a pretty word but not such a great feeling.

Our weather has also gone from pretty warm to pretty cold today, which also depends on where the wind is blowing from. There's something to be said about Never cast a clout till May is out.

Strangely this saying goes for one month earlier in France. In May we can do whatever we want, dresswise, but April is the 'never cast a clout' period.
