Personally if an individual I was seeing carried a bit extra weight I would have no problem with it because everyone can have wobbly bits. However if it got to the stage where it was becoming a health issue, I wouldn't. I know guys say "oh looks don't matter" but in reality they do. Having been quite big myself, there are issues which arise such as depression which could impact a relationship. Since then having lost quite a lot of weight, I feel a lot better in myself, I eat properly and exercise when I can and I wouldn't want to go back to the way I was. By no means am I saying larger people are bad but I would find it really hard because it would remind me of my fat days. Also not all larger people eat and are lazy, there are conditions out there which to make people carry extra weight such as an under active thyroid or even having no lipase (the enzyme which gets rid of fat). So in my view one can carry extra weight and I'd still be interested, but if it got to be a problem for their health and the relationship no. I hope that's a balanced way to ink of it.

does depression and cortisol lead to overeating and weight?im afraid to type something negative -dont want to depress people
i like to take fast walks-id have to worry about heart attacks a lot, with an obese person
i see these people buying soda large amounts of junk food -very stupid
they should discover real food -get rid of msg and the other msg under other names
very deceptive food culture were in-we are lied to

I'm a fit guy. 165 lbs with 24 BMI. I run everyday. I do workout. I climb stairs from ground floor to 30th floor as exercise. I emphasize on having a healthy lifestyle.
But I don't expect to have a buff and a fit boyfriend. Muscle buff or a regular guy (thin to a bit chubby) is fine with me. As long as he takes care of his hygiene, groom himself and am aware of being healthy, that's all that I care for.
For me, a strong and lasting relationship is based upon what's inside. Eye candy appearance is a bonus but not necessary.
Nowadays it's not easy to find a sweet sincere guy. I would be insane if I say no to a sweet guy just because he is not a muscle buff and a health freak.
I've promised myself that I'll take care of my guy as good as possible. I'll cherish and shower him with sincere love.

NO, I wont. I only like to date guys who are physically fit and in shape. I work on my body so much to be in shape, hence, i guess, its not unfair for me to date only fit guys.

I chose "no" because "depends" doesnt really make the poll interesting.
Of course I do not expect people to look like underwear models, but I do admit that I am attracted to good looking guys.
I try to live a healthy life, and I want my date to be like that too.
Being too overweight obviously shows that you dont care much about healthy eating, so i see it as a sign that we probably wont get along too well in the long run any ways...

Being attracted to someone and being in love with them are two different things... I think despite most of us possibly saying no i think when it comes to being in love love is found under the looks and to be honest if someone is fat but they got a bubbly personality then there is nothing stopping a partner from encouraging them to visit the gym and get in shape with them helping as well.. l often think im fat but only 12st 5lbs i know im not i know if i try to even think of loosing weight i could look horribly deformed or something as my bones would start showing through...

I wonder if most people here when they see the word "fat" they think of a huge obese person. I would date a fat person but not someone who's obese. If we really connect we can start working out together. It's not hard as I recently lost a lot of weight.
