Fingernails on a Chalkboard Music

OK - gonna put this out there and then duck and hide LOL - the artist I kinda hate the most and the music. Remember _ I did work in a loud gay dance club for 20 years five nights a week sooooooo - the walls shook it was so loud and THIS artist and her songs - AAAARRRRGGGGHHHHHHHHH I don't really hate her as a person - I even like her sometimes - but the singer and the songs - just no!

The worst one (though I hate them all except for one) - VOGUE - and to make matters worse - guys would come up and "vogue" all night thinking it was cute - my reaction was similar to Dorothy on the Golden Girls.

  I know it is sacreligious for a gay man not to worship Madge BUT - I still have my gay card punched because I save my diva worship for Diana Ross. I did like her in Evita though - does that count?  I don't like Whitney Houston or Mariah Carey or Britney Spears either (runs and hides)

As if liking ALL divas is a requirement for gays. I’m not in general into Whitney and Mariah myself (though some songs are nice) and while they’re not nails on a chalkboard they are snooze-inducing. It’s the dosage that makes the poison, one song is ok, a whole album not.

For me - it was the high volume and blasting in my ear in the club that formed my opinion. I didn't like Whitney much as a person (I can never say why publicly) but her voice was OK for me - I like the other two OK but hated their music.

Another chills in a bad way song for me - I truly hated this song - Sunset People -

I used to like this one until I got an overdose of it in the club where I used to work.

- and here comes the butt clencher for me - Patsy Cline

This damn song was on the jukebox which played before the DJ started at 9 and I really hated it. Jessica Lange is my favorite actress and this is the only movie I skipped with her in it.
