I really think this is more about the music blasting in my ears all night and I had no where to run or hide - which made me hate alot of the most popular (and overplayed) dance songs - and here is another one that still gives me chills (the bad kind of chills Confused )

Anita Ward - Ring My Bell arrrrggghhhhhh

Now I have to admit that I like the two disco songs that EoE just posted.

I’ve got a very, very long list which includes everything mangled with digital overproduction, all punk and rap, all Abba and what I call teenage bubblegum music. Add to this a huge body of mushy, sentimental classical music (especially 19th and early 20th century English treacle). The curse of having good taste or the problem of being a persnickety old git?
But these days I’m finding the visuals in video clips are often more irritating than the sonics.

I picked up this Donna Summer CD for one song and then remembered all the other ones I hated (most every one of them)

I already posted Sunset People which is the worst but runners up -

(I wonder if she stopped singing this when she found Jesus? Big Grin )

...and then there is this horrible VERY long piece of crap - at least this is the short version

You're killing me!

Donna Summer is one artist I always wanted to see live, and never got the chance.

It's okay dad. I sometimes listen to at least one of the "artists" on this thread. Not going to say which, of course. My secret shame  Confused

Speak your truth, son!  Wink

As for Donna, she was one of the few disco acts who had a successful career after the "death" of disco.   These songs from 1989 and 1999 have always been faves of mine.

*the forum told me I could only post one video per post, so the 1999 song is in the next post*
