I'm am 57 years old and never had orgasm with receiving oral. I do not have a whole lot of experience in that area.  Is this uncommon with men? I have never fantasized about it at all.  I just do not get off on it and that would probably be a big turn off for a future partner.

 Be honest about it from the beginning with someone - I don't do oral at all - giving or receiving - and I told my husband when I met him. 

I have been with him over 30 years now - it was never a problem.

I've rarely had an orgasm from oral with any of my sexual partners (it has happened once or twice though), that's not to say I have not found it very pleasurable of course. But I don't think that is abnormal. The sensation is different, the speed is different. You not getting off from purely oral I don't think would be a turn off for anyone, certainly not me anyway. Oral for me is the foreplay, the build up.

It is NOT uncommon and so very much different from what one might gather from watching porn. I can go "forever" without an orgasm, orally or any other way, and it has been my secret surprise enough to promise it is an advantage. So many have thought they could get me off "quickly" and it's lubricated the course of relations wonderfully for me for 58 now! LOL So I really truly like the feedback from eastofeden. Your question made me think about something a little more that was already something I couldn't put my finger on but now - BINGO!

I always wonder WHY the thing everyone seems to focus on with gay men is S E X. They don't do the same with heterosexuals sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo - I wondered why the difference? 

I guarantee that alot of straight men do not get oral sex from their wives and no one would blink an eye about it - which made me think about cocktail hour (3-8 PM) when there was a group of regulars who had a ball telling newcomers that I didn't "suck dick" - like I was an alien. I played along and did my gagging and barf noises and they thought it was really funny - whatever works I guess  


Thing is - there are alot of gay virgins - just like there are straight virgins. Sexual orientation isn't really even about sex. Having sex (or not) IS a choice - your sexual orientation and who you are attracted to IS NOT a choice.

@eastofeden Well said. Most people hear gay and immediately think about wild orgies of one kind or another. They overlook the fact that gay men also go to work, shop for groceries, clean the house, do laundry, and engage in all kinds of other exciting activities.
