[COLOR="Navy"]The governing board of the Church of Sweden (affiliated with the Lutheran Church) voted Thursday to allow clergy to perform Same-Sex weddings. The church has been performing blessing ceremonies since 1997 but had never taken an official position on Marriage Equality.
The board approved it overwhelmingly, passing the measure 176-62. The national government passed a law granting full marriage rights this past summer, making it the fifth European country to do so.
Hopefully some of the other churches will embrace this....we can dream.
