This was a rather subjective question...
Well....I always thought of it as a sexual stimulate for single people who don't otherwise have a means of release, i.e. a fwb or one night stand. A very substantial (I'd say almost all, with the exception of the few that are made by couples that want to make one, and even some of those sell the video or stream) percentage of porn is marketed because sex sells. I think the price tag being put on the sexual acts can make some people look at guys or girls as objects that can be bought or otherwise possessed. Porn can be very addicting like drugs and because of such those addicted might look at it as such and watch it for their next "buzz".
But really I think that it’s all on how you perceive the material, whether you are looking at the two going to town as just two pieces of meat. Sometimes the porn is purely sexual, sometimes it’s romantic like. I think the latter makes a big difference to me and how I look at it. Six in one, half dozen in the other.

I've been watching porn for a longgggggg time since i was 14 or so and the benefit is you're having safe sex.
But on the other hand depending on what type of porn you watch it can be dehuminizing.
I've seen some nasty porn that I had no idea that people did IE: Fisting, Peeing, Feets, SM
That stuff goes a littttttle bit too far for my liking but the people are very rough and it tells people that it's normal when it's not normal to smack someone or maybe it is if boht like it?

I like porn and I don't have much problem with most gay porn, as long as minors are not involved. Porn should not be exploitative. I imagine that there are plenty of gay men who are happy to be filmed having sex, some would find it a big turn on. The money is a factor but if a man has an erection, I think that is a good indication that he is enjoying what he is doing. Hetero porn is a different matter in my view. It's more difficult to imagine that some of the women who are involved in hetero porn are actually doing so for any reason other than the money. That in itself is not necessarily a problem because we all have to pay the rent (no pun intended) but it is when women are pressurized into making porn that porn gets too close to abuse. I can't really imagine “romantic porn”: the actors do know that anybody will be able to buy the video, that's not very romantic, is it? To me porn is just raw sex and personally I have no problem with that – as long as the participants are enjoying making it. Do I enjoy it? Yes, always have but I am definitely not an addict (though I am addicted to pudding, Libertylove!) and it is not a substitute for sex for me but an adjunct to it.

I think there is a difference between gay porn and straight porn. From most of the straight stuff I have seen, the sex always seems forced and it almost never looks like both participants are enjoying themselves. But in the gay porn I've watched, most of the time the guys are smiling and having a grand ol' time. I stay away from the weird fetish and amature stuff, so I don't want to get into that whole thing. In general I find that the sex in gay porn is more sensual and more gentle than I see in straight stuff, but maybe I haven't watched enough of it to really know.

I know its a stupid question, but what exactly does that mean?

I think its a good indication that there is a bit of him that is enjoying what he is doing, I'm not convinced that it really tells us how the rest of him feels about it.

That sounds a bit sexist to me, but no matter, I do see where you are coming from. Again asking a stupid question but what exactly does 'pressurised' mean? I think that we can all agree that physical violence or the threat of it is wrong, even if all she is being asked to do is make the tea. Economic factors are, as you point out, a universal feature of life but is there a point where a woman's financial outlook is so dire if she did not do porn, that it constitutes being 'pressurised', and if so are we doing her a favour by banning her best means of improving her situation?
