Well, it is getting to be that season in the American West: The snow will soon be melting away from the mountain peaks. The rivers will be fulsome with spring rain. And I will be hitting the road to see everything I can before winter sets in again. As usual, I will be creating playlists for my road trips, and I could use some new suggestions if any one is willing to give me a taste of "new" music.
I am open to any sort of music. What I often listen to depends on the landscape, and with the variety of landscapes in my area, I will have a time and cause to hear just about everything, but Here are some samples from previous roadtrips of mine:
Nina Simone, Be My Husband
The Polyphonic Spree - It's the Sun
Johnny Cash, Hurt
Dave Brubeck, Unsquare Dance
Brandi Carlile, The Story
Donovan, Hurdy Gurdy Man
David Bowie, Life on Mars?
Devotchka, How it ends
Sufjan Stevens - For the widows in paradise
