Personally, I wouldn't want to lose mine. I've never had the pains of phimosis though, so I don't know, another friend told me he went through a great deal of pain with it, but I don't think he would choose to be circumcised as a result.

i just do see the point in doing that to some one :/

I've not been circumcised....... it took months for me to get over the concept of circumcision without puking. :frown:

I'm not circumcised, they don't do that at birth here. Do they do it at birth in the US though? I'm not too sure.
I've heard lots of stuff, that having foreskin is healthy and that not having it is healthy so right now I'm confused as to whether or not it's better to have it or not.
I could imagine myself being uncomfortable without it since... well, I don't want to go into the details.

You can have a tight circumcision or a loose one. The latter is more popular today, at least here in Europe, and a loose circumcision can look like a penis with just a smaller foreskin. When the operation is done, less skin is removed. Another option today is a dorsal slit, where the literally split the foreskin lengthwise - that's sometimes done when there are problems retracting the foreskin and manipulation and steroid creams haven't worked. It's definitely preferable to the total removal of a healthy piece of tissue.
Tight circumcisions can cause problems. An easy way to see how tight it was is to see if hair folicles have migrated onto the shaft of the penis. The further along the erect penis public hair goes, the tighter the circumcision.
