YOU need to know I AM STRAIGHT vs. YOU need to know I AM GAY

It depends on thesingleton. It never bothered me as a singleton, but what did really irk me was travel companies advertising hotel rooms as "£xx per person per night*" (with the asterisk leading to a foot note saying "based on two people sharing"). If it just said £yy per night I wouldn't have felt ripped off because the room is often the same price regardless of the number of occupants.

i did watch it colin, a couple of times, just didnt like it and i did play it for a couple of friends today - no point in giving their exact replies but they were less than impressed whether facetious or not - just dont see what he's trying to do really, i just dont see straight people viewing it and coming away with a more positive attitude to gay opinions - "him been sarcastic or not" -, -

I have no problem if a gay person has pride. Now let's say when a straight person has pride in their sexuality, I think that's good too. However, some may view straight pride and then compare it to white pride. That's when things get really really complicated.

I loved the video and thought Davie made his point quite well. And he even stopped in the middle of the film to tell people that he was being sarcastic.

I get the same criticisms from straight people all the time as well. In fact, there are a couple coworkers who talk to me nonstop and then will totally change the subject or leave if I bring up subject matter concerning me being gay. It's so obvious what they're doing, and it annoys me to no end. They talk about their families all the time to me and I don't leave or change the subject. And I've gotten so annoyed when renting hotel rooms and the clerk looks at me and my partner with a snotty look and asks, "You do know that this room only has one bed, don't you?" Uh, yeah. That's why we rented it in the first place. People can be so stupid at times.

PA and I booked a hotel room at Luton Airport when he missed his flight back to Switzerland a few years ago. The (young and male) receptionist assumed we wanted a twin room. When I corrected him, saying we wanted a double, he acquired a rather nasty leer and handed us the key with a very pointed, "Have a nice night, Gentlemen." He maintained that attitude every time he walked past us that evening. What a twerp! Grr
