Gay-Pagan
#21
Wow, this is insightfully splendid for me. As I have merely considered a pagan as a Atheist. I had NO idea it was a religious doctrine, with tenets and creeds. This is awesome. And from the videos I've watched, this is a pressing lifestyle, which requires faithful devotion. Wow... I am still swaying from the shock.

I am however, gay and Agnostic. I truly am fine with this cowardice way out. As my indecision is truly a safe and honest--sincerely honest stance. I do not know if there is a god, and I do not know if there is not a god. And, as, for celebrations, My calendar is empty!

I think, the Agnostic way .. is a way. too. But for me I have chosen the Pagan way ... because the paganism gives me more freedom as the Agnostic way....
I can use what I want for my own Way... like the Mantras I postet before, they are buddhistic, hinduistic... but for me is no need to think about where is it from. For me it is enough that I can say: " It helps me to being myself, finding myself". Or - maybe you have seen I use the sanskrit "namaste´" for thanks... and to show someone that I agree with him/her but in the same time its a reverence to the goddess in the other Person - it means "I bow to you"
I do not know if there is a God, too. But I know there is a Nature, a being and passing. And I have decided for myself that it is a Matriachat.... not a Patriarchat ... in a patriarchat a man want to be the leader. I don´t need a leader... I have my own moral principles to decide "yes or no" "right or false"... and it is not a easy way do decide... I can´t go to a church and I will confess and someone can forgive me and i´m free from my fault.. I have to live with my mistakes.
And for you calendar : Why you don´t give yourself a agnostic celebration day ? :-) Maybe a "There is maybe a God day"...

The Pagan way to what end? Similarly, the agnostic way to what end?

For me .. and only for me .. the way is the Goal.. and on this way you should live that sometimes someone can say : He has done many things right...
And the end... Give your Life, your Energy, your Being back to the circle of Life... maybe with a smile, with the knowing to have not wasted your life and your time... and to have been loved for what you are, not for what you have ..... and to have loved your life.

Hey, fenris,

What a beautiful idea, I think I will create my very own personal Agnostic's day!! Lol. Sounds, a bit like personalized Religion, now that I've said it out loud!!! ;-)

I have read a saying some times ago, can´t remember the original text.. but it sounds like : A person which thought hard about religions, Gods and Goddesses and decided to be agnostic can not be non-religious.

I have a gay friend in person who is a Pagan. He has some pagan symbols in his bedroom, it's pretty neat. He has this stone thingy in his backyard and it has a pentagram on it. At first, I thought it was a Satanic thing. However, it is definitely not. There are probably some crazy Christians who think that Pagans are Satanic... do you get that from some Christians, Fenris?

Yes .. it´s here the same because they don´t know the difference between the pentacles... the "good" pentacle stands on 2 tops like you see it in my signature ... the "bad" is turned around.... and has only one top.
But here we have another problem... because some religions like paganism, wicca, asatru sometimes have some roots in the old nordic religion and the nazis from 1933 -1945 in germany have abused the nordic religion for there own purposes many people think, that we are racists or neo-nazis. Its a bigger problem than the christains...
Pagans can´t be racists... or nazis.... because we don´t ask for color or state of origin of people.... the color of human beings are natural and have natural causes... and so there is no need to discuss it.

Is this another misconception of paganism?: Sacrificing animals.

yes ... because many people do not know the differences between paganism and satanism ... but that is really simple ... because we do not believe at the christian god ... we can not believe at their free punishment service.
