It happens (or as in your case with this man doesn't happen 
). I wouldn't go as far as wclark03 and try to claim that "no-string relationships are never wise" - sometimes, for some people, they can be just what the doctor might order if his/her ethics allowed!
I had a similar situation in the days when I sought out a lot of anonymous sex before I met my partner. Either I came almost immediately or I could not sustain an erection. For me I find things work out best being with someone I care about.
