LOL, well I am really not a masculine kinda guy. I wouldn't mind being effeminate though.

Its strange because when I was younger I just wasn't very much into effeminate guys or guys that were flamers and so on, I just thought that it was very obnoxious and just didn't understand it. Yet as I have gotten older I have just realized that maybe they can't control that and its just the way that they are, I have learned to be more open about everyone in the gay community, we are all different and when we start to judge other people then that makes other people not feel comfortable being in that community because some of us don't accept them. So I don't care if they have feminine manners or not, they are still people and I love em still. Now cross dressers I just don't understand at all, yet that is just me.

heh Smile it's funny, I see a lot of young guys now, myself included, who fall into a kind of middle ground.

We grew up with the internet, games consoles, lived a straight lifestyle, but liked guys more than girls - "guys who like videogames and cock" as me and my ex once said. The stereotypes seem to be breaking down ever so slightly.

We're not tough (well I'm not anyway) but not really effeminite; I don't think I'd ever call myself masculine, but really flaming guys almost intimidate me a little bit ^^ just so much confidence. In terms of preference I'd pick a masculine looking guy nearly every time.

I always get confused by this because I like to think I'm middle ground but in reality I'm more fem than masculine but still roughly middle ground ........

I also seem to find more effeminate guys attractive but not so effeminate that you'll mistake them for girls etc. It's hard to explain tbh but yeah.

Before, I was not attached to Fem boy at all. Now, I find some of them attractive ( probably, I become more gay ???). I don't know if I can consider myself masculine but I do act masculine most of the time. I work out, I play sport ( even though only swimming but it 's intensive), protective,... However, I found my feminist in a lot of things, my body ( slender build, small frame, baby face, hairless..), I never cry in front of other people but I do cry when watching musical or movie, I like to cook for people...

I'm neither effeminate nor a butch macho type of guy. I'm just a regular gay guy who isn't scared to wear pink, bow tie and such.

There's this one famous fashion lifestyle departmental store in Malaysia that has a lot of effeminate peeps as their salesmen. Not just 5 to 6 peeps but 99%.

I shop over there quite frequently as the store is located right in front of my office.

One of my principles is to respect everyone with dignity and class. So obviously I treat these effeminate salesmen with friendliness and respect. No prejudging whatsoever.

Yesterday I went to that store to buy new clothes and boy, we shared a lot of laughs. I apologized to them for being fussy but they said it's okay. In return, I got a free money clip worth 130 bucks from the store! The money clip present is only meant to be given to anyone who purchased two shirts. I only bought one shirt and a bow tie. One of the salesmen said, "It's okay. You're our loyal customer." Mua, ha, ha ...

Quote:that oppresses become oppressors, (the continuous cycle of victims, victimizing).

This.

Being gay is hard enough as you tend to be prejudged, discriminated and be punished for being 'different' from the so called normal society. So exactly why do some of us prejudge and pull a dislike mentality towards our own kinds? Just because they are slightly different from you? Hmm ... what a cycle.

I understand if you feel uncomfortable with their styles as it is not your thing. But there is no need to take it over the top by forming a feel of disgust or even hate towards them.

I always believe that if you expect people to respect you, you have to respect them too. It's not a one way road.

YES! I believe if we were able to have that kind of unity...practice what we preach...we would be able to overcome the adversity and our fight for equality under the law would be far more readily attainable.

Speaking of that...I have this thing that really gets to me and I realize that the people are not doing this intentionally BUT....I have gotten this all my life and I always feel like I am going to go off on the person giving me what they THINK is a compliment and I am surprised I have been able to hold back...

My "compliment" usually goes something like this: Wow...I would have never known you two were gay...I wouldn't have a problem with gays if they were all like you...I can't stand the __________fill in the blank___________ type."

.....I cringe....our fight for equality hinges on this? If we all act in a manner in which "they" approve of...or because I might appear to be just like "them" I am somehow OK? Sorry...keep your approval...give me equality because it is the right thing to do and it is fair and just and moral...not because I have won your unwanted approval. I could not possibly ask for approval from other people because I am not willing to necessarily give that in return...I will never "approve" of most religion but I can 100% say I support freedom of religion to the point I would fight for it. We are individuals...and that is what we are supposed to be...period.
