Because [MENTION=22117]HopefulRefrain[/MENTION] posted Nina Hagen in another thread it made me go and listen again to some of them astonishing songs this woman has put out. The range of her voice and talent is so amazing that she should have been Elvis, the Beatles, ABBA, or Michael Jackson, but it is delivered in such an unusual way most people do not understand it. This is one of the best tracks of all time dealing with addiction and it was written by her boyfriend and father of their daughter Cosma Shiva. She left him and moved to the U.S. soon after finding out she was pregnant by him. Unfortunately he did not survive the battle with addiction and later died of AIDS. The song is cold and kind of ugly, like addiction.
