Gay marriage in NY?

I am so happy for New York. I read somewhere that NOM spent 1.5 mils to stop the legislation but NY makes it through still somehow.

They've pledged two million to try and stop it again though, be warned.

I just want to say this discussion I am going to link is one of the best I have seen on the subject...and it brought up a few points I had actually never thought of...didnt' think that was possible after a lifetime of this sh*t.

I don't think that NY has the same process as California. The people cannot easily overturn the legislators. The only way for it to be repealed would be through the legislator again and it is not likely to get through both houses.
