Straight porn as a cover

hi everybody.
i have a friend and i pretty sure he's gay... deeply in the closet though... [im in the closet too, by the way]
The other day i visited him and i found some straight porn in his computer.
i'm in love with or something so it's not that i'm trying to deny he's straight against all odds, but- do you think it is normal for gay guy [who is deeply in the closet] to have some straight porn in his computer as a cover? have you ever done it?
i won't tell the whole story of me thinking he's gay but let's say that exept this straight porn issue-i'm pretty sure he is...

what do you say?

i have like 10T on my computer, even if 1% of that is porn and another 1% of that is straight how does that define me if i am not out to myself.

First your friend has to come out to himself. That is not easy for some people. I would have thought, though, that New York must be one of the easier places in which to be gay?

From what I've experience from my time on earth, The most campest man can be straight, yet the most masculine can be gay. What it comes down to is we are all bi to some extent. *nods*

anyway... I see no need to keep straight porn on my computer as a cover... but thats just me. Perhaps explain why you think he's gay so that we can get a better picture of the situation that you are in. Though you do sound almost 100% sure, have you tried dropping any hints that your interested in him?

im not intrested in him, just curious... it might be nice to have one gay friend and maybe share things.

we're 16 years old, porn is one of the main topics to talk about among teenagers in our age. i try to avoid that but even i know several female pornstar names to pull out if necessary... so i just think having straight porn in some folder in my computer for my friends to have no doubt about my sexuallity is kinda make sense.

i really don't want to say anything else about the situation- believe me i have many other doubts [although i am pretty sure like i said] but anyone of them worth an entire thread and i prefere to focus on that one which is my biggest doubt.

I have done somethings similar when I was in the closet.

I remember once, while still in the closet, I would look at a magazine and it had two pictures of guys with no clothes on that I really secretly liked. Mom, found the magazine and gave me a good "what for" tongue lashing. But it was mostly straight porn so my cover was safe. I didn't come out until years later.

Well he could be using it as a cover of sorts - it's possible. But then again, maybe he just likes it and he's straight. Truth is, you just don't know yet and there's no sense in trying to use this situation to figure it out.

I recently clicked on an erotic comic to read the captions (as it was too small for me to read) and it took me to a site called "18 and abused" which tried hijacking my computer I think and definitely putting up pop ups. I think my protections got rid of it (and I rebooted real fast) but it's possible it's still on my computer but I'd have no interest in such a site. That is it's possible to get porn on your computer quite accidentally.

I'm generally not into porn (though erotic elements are ok) but I do like a lot of romantic and cute vids, and it seems to make little difference on whether it's het or gay. That doesn't mean I'm bi, though. And come to think of it I recall looking into yaoi (a type of Japanese animation featuring gay men but aimed at female audiences) out of curiosity and found it intensely cute (and borderline hot). Granted, many of the yaoi boys were more feminine than many women.

I think it's just easier to get straight porn then it is gay porn. I started with nothing but straight porn and ignored the women. : )

Your friend may indeed be a straight guy and just unintentionally gives the impression of being gay, unless he comes out and says he's gay I would imagine it's best not to say anything. I suppose some gay men can enjoy watching straight porn?? mile:
