A new dream thread.

Aester Wrote:Strangely full moon (Since logically if the moon was that close to the sun the moon would vanish since the light will hit the wrong side)

The big bird flies like a bummerang. It goes up in a crescent formation and then down around the rest of the mountains.

The mountain is snow covered but all mountains are at that high so its hard to tell. but there seem to be no snow down under. The trees seem green, so it could be spring, summer or early autumn.

Forget about logic...We're talking about a dream.

I have some ideas about the sun and moon, so I'm glad it's full. I write more later, but first I'd like to know more about your eyes. Do they hurt? Why are they so red? From the sun? Too much vodka?...

Also, back to your bowl of cereal....tell me about the bowl. What material? Color? Shape?

Thanks.

More after you respond...

The eyes do not hurt, and I am not sure why they are red. Might be sun but I do not think its vodka, i am not much of a drunk. I had a theory that it might be because I am often quite depressed and I use to take pot as an antidepressant drug. It would explain the ever lasting bowl of cereals but i still think it might be something else, I am quite sadden by my weigh. The bowl is a big broken white bowl, no featured details though (Its only broken on the top, like just a crown). Same with the spoon just a big normal spoon without details. The cereals are a crunchy mix, i think...

You mean, you're saddened by your WEIGHT?

You mean, the physical weight of your body?

Or, the weight of your heart? A heavy heart?

The bowl is broken like a crown? Like the kind a king wears? A broken crown?

I meant saddened by my physical weight you know body mass. Not detailed like a crown, but it was only broken on the top where you hold your fingers, like a tree top, its called crown but its not an actual crown.

Ahhh, ok, this is starting to come together for me.

You're not happy with your weight but you're eating an endless bowl of cereal on top of a mountain all by yourself surrounded by your community far in the distance separated from you by a layer of clouds while the sun and moon hang in the sky and an eagle soars up and down.

Does that sum it up? I have some ideas, but I want to make sure I understand before I share more.

The dream is your unconscious mind still working on a problem that you may not even be AWARE of in your waking/conscious life.

You'll keep having this dream until you solve the problem.

But I think there's more here than just a healthy appetite.

Smile

To me, there are a LOT of masculine symbols:

--The lofty mountain
--The chair (is like a humble throne)
--The color blue
--The eagle
--The sun
--The bright sky, warmly colored.

But interestingly these symbols are balanced by:

--the surrounding low lying community
--the broken bowl
--the plain spoon
--the clouds below you covering the earth
--the moon.

There's something very spiritual about all of this. You're ELEVATED and SURROUNDED but distant and alone.

The sun and the moon (masculine and feminine) are the only couple (a pair) watching over you (like two eyes).

The eagle is like your spirit, soaring up, then swooping down.

I wonder if you feel moody; bright then dark?
Do you feel surrounded by people but all alone?
Do consider yourself "above it all"?
Are your mother and father "watching" you from above?

Any of that ring a bell?

I do not feel so moody, I mostly feel down and stressed out, but I got to keep my head up high and never look down in front of others, never to let your guard down, but captured and controlled, not worth to express my opinion cause of all the drama. I am not so surrounded by others, I had kept my self pretty isolated i would say, siting in the basement and just letting the time passing by meanwhile my father complains that I never get a job and ''Living my life''. I hate being in crowded areas like downtown, i always feel VERY uncomfortable being in the center. It depends how you would feel ''above it all'', cause I do not feel higher in rank compare to others, but the only thing I wish for lately is move away, being far away from here, away from the people of this dump, if that means ''Being far high over all and not with them''. I do not like living at my fathers any more since it feels like everything I do never feel enough and always get judged on, but I can not move to my mother since I know he will take it the wrong way and be heartbroken cause he will think that I do not love him, like when my brother moved to my mother, but I do not want to move out into an apartment in my city since I am so confused what i want to work with and what I want of life and I only fear to be chained to this pitt hole, but where else do I not know and it bugs me.

I went & checked those newsgroups yesterday...Sadly the lucid-dreams' one is nearly 100% spam now... the 'dreams' one looks like it has some activity (but not like it used to be) I'm hoping i can find time/remember to start reading them again.
Thanks for checking back. I'm interested in anything you'd like to contribute.

As mentioned I wanna try to get back into the dream thing again Smile maybe I'll try to post some dreams (even if its older ones) ... but I'll be also going into the time of year where I'll be more busy  its October already  so I probably won't be checking this site quite as often as now
I had a cool dream last night, but can't remember anything from it now.

LateBloomer Wrote:The House dream is one of my favorites. If it's "your" house it usually symbolizes your "self". Different rooms are different compartments. Usually the dark stuff is kept down in the cellar. Upstairs in bright rooms with big windows signify enlightenment, knowledge.

Generally, down and dark is negative.
Up and bright is positive.

If you have a choice, go up.
Wink

Most of the time its not mine, but just some random house or building that I've never seen in real life.
Usually when I can make the choice of weather I can go do downstairs to a basement/cellar I do because like I say that's where the more weird/interesting stuff is...plus what if it was 'haunted' LOL that could be fun! (could be scary too LOL). In general there is more "stuff" in a basement, even if its just random items being stored there (love exploring/looking around those dream places, if nothing more simply to see whats there)
There's been plenty of times I've gone upstairs (sometimes multiple stories) but on those I'm usually just following wherever the dream goes Smile In general I'd agree the upper levels are brighter/warmer-feeling/etc

occasionally I'm at the house I lived in as a young kid (lol so I know where those dreams come from) never any 'exploring' in those dreams though.
