A new dream thread.
This kind of dream mean that you sooner or later should confront a change in your life, if you actually jump is that the change inevitable will come and if you didn´t you perhaps is something you are avoiding to happen but it is on its way.

Just wondering, if you can recall why you've dreamt what you did, then does the dream lose its potential deeper meaning?
Like once I remember dreaming about three sisters, then realised i ha watched Charmed the night before, would that mean the dream is all from that one influence?

The "theme" of the dream might have been sparked by some recent event in your waking life. But if you dig deeper you might be able to interpret the whole dream on a deeper level.

There are dreams of dreams, dreams help the mind to evacuate some information but also can be a reflection of your own deep mind and away from our concience and that´s why there are dreams that have more impact on us than others.

lol, I just had a crazy dream sequence:

It started off with me in bed (which I was) but I heard another person in my apartment, seeing as my roommate just moved out, I was concerned. So I went out to investigate. I walked into the living room and kitchen, no one, but I turned around looked down the hall to the bathroom and there was a figure in the bathroom.

I couldn't make out what it looked like, but it started to move toward me, all I could see were the glowing eyes and it was human shape. I fell to the ground, terrified, trying to scream but barely any sound came out. It got closer and closer, then just as it approached, it turned into a guy who bent down and started to make out with me. I don't know why, but I got up and ran to the bathroom. Then I heard a weird crashing sound back out in the living room.

I went back, the guy was gone, but I looked on my balcony and there was a massive hanging light fixture that look like it had fallen from the ceiling. I was looking for a switch to turn on the light to see it better, but I noticed it was practically raining in my apartment. There was a huge storm outside and ceiling was leaking (which is strange since I live in the middle of an apartment building). There was also small broken windows above my balcony door that seemed to be were the majority of the rain was coming from. I panicked since I have a lot of stuff around there that would be destroyed if wet. I grabbed my laptop and ran to my bedroom.

I sat on my computer chair and put on a hoodie since I was soaked. I was trying to get on facebook, but when I did I looked up from my computer and my chair and I were rolling on a sidewalk path outside my building. I jumped up, grabbed the chair and started to go back toward my building (I will also mention, the storm was calm when I was outside).

As I walked back, I noticed a bunch of young, hot guys standing outside the first floor apartments that have patios on the lawn. They were just in boxer shorts. I just ignored them and kept walking inside. I left my chair at the bottom of the stairs, thinking I would come back for it later. I walked up the stairs, there were more guys, and one was jerking off in the stairway. I started to run up the stairs, but more and more people kept walking up the stairs. At this point, it was like a massive group of college kids, male and female. Many of them were wearing plush green hoodies or sweaters. A couple people tried to talk to me on my way up, I didn't say much back. I finally made it to the fifth floor (which is where my apartment is). But it looked like a college dorm hall and I couldn't find my apartment.

I saw a sign with all the room numbers and mine was in another area, so I went through what looked like a small infirmary and then went into a huge area. It looked like a huge mall or airport, lots of people around, shops, sitting areas. I was still in my hoodie and boxers, holding my laptop. So I walked, and walked but I couldn't find my room. Then for some reason I transitioned to being in my room.

My bed was out in the living room for some reason. I got dressed and sat on my bed and tried to look up something. Then this kinda average guy (different from all the ones I had seen previously), laid down next to me. Apparently I had commented on something he posted on failblog. He started to touch me and I told him to cut it out. Then he pinned me down and started to tickle me and I told him I kick him in the balls if he did that.

THEN out of the corner of my eye, I saw a huge golden/red dragon fly by my window outside. "what the fuck is that!?', the guy got off me and saw it now too. I watched as it flew around the city (which looked like a massive metropolis, not Fredericton). The dragon stopped and floated in the air and spit out three spiked balls on the ground. I knew something bad was going to happen, so I went to get away. I was trying to get my shoes on (which was really hard) and I heard a strange exploding sound, I looked out, and the balls exploded and were sucking all the matter around them into a black void. The area of the explosion was huge, and I thought it was going to pull my building in too, but it didn't. Once I saw the vacuum effect stopped, I looked out and saw several more dragons. Two of the ones I had just seen, plus a silver one that spit out small dark red dragons that breathed fire.

The scene transitions again to me running outside (and its winter now, there is snow on the ground) and a small red dragon breaths fire at me. I jump behind two rows of cars and try to lose him, but the dragon pursues. I leap over the cars into the snowbank and try to cover myself in snow so the dragon won't see me. I jumps over and lands right next to me. I look the dragon in the eye and it stays still laying next to me, seeming looking at me too. I hear other people scream and the dragon takes off.

That's where the dream ends.

Whoa! Epic dream. I love these dreams that feature mythological creatures, like a dragon! Very cool, as disturbing as it must have been for you anyway...

Thanks for taking the time to type it out.

Unfortunately, the dragon symbolism is gonna mystify me right off the bat. Maybe I can do some research in the future, but I have to be honest I'm not sure what that's all about--except to say that it's color (red) is a very HOT color; hot like anger; passion; etc. And it breathes fire, which could mean anything. The silver one is a COOL color, but it gives birth to little red (hot) ones.

Overall, I got a big sense of being "lost", disoriented, uncentered homelessness. Not only that but your "home" is in a state of disrepair and it's quite stormy outside.

Your roommate is gone. You find another guy there instead.

Outside are lots of single guys.

Inside you're bothered by one until the dragon becomes a bigger problem.

Over the course of the dream, the weather turned from stormy rain, to clear weather to winter snow...

Basically, I'm just feeling you being a little restless, not sure what your place is in life, kind of irritated and not easily pleased while suffering some mood changes (like the weather) and changing conditions (rain, sunny, winter snow)...

Whaddya think?

Thanks for your interpretation Latebloomer. I was amazed how vivid it was and how much I could remember. I would probably say that you are right, I am fairly restless, wishing for something in my life to change but not sure how to accomplish that. Hmm, if I have any other good dreams I'll post em' Wink

i am one of those people who have very vivid dreams.. and nightmares. well the last night i had one of them and ive had this dream a few times before and each time i get closer to the end of it (best way to describe it).
what happens in my dream is im chilling on my laptop in my room it is around noon and its bright and all the colors stand out in my room. all of a sudden i hear and feel a loud sound... kinda when a tree falls how you hear it and feel it in your body... and i go outside to check it out. when i get outside its all foggy and gray. i look in the direction of the sound and see nothing but get the feeling that my life is in danger. i go to run and my little brother is behind me and as i look at him a spike shoots up from the ground and impales him(i woke up after this part the first time i had this dream). so i take off running and i look back behind me and see what kinda looks like an octopus with its tentacles driven deep underground. as im running i see all the people that are standing still getting impaled. my perspective then shifts to third person and i see my self running as it fades to black(woke up the next few times i had this dream at this point)
when vision comes back i find myself in a city it kinda looks like chicago and new york combined. well i see a little girl standing still surrounded by what looks like her family who have been impaled. something inside told me that she was important for me to save and i run up to her scoop her up and run into the nearest building. where i talk to her. i remember asking her what she was doing and her reply was we need to get higher up. i thought that was strange and didnt do it but all of a sudden the ground starts vibrating and she heads to the stairs when a spike pops up right where she was. that made me move because i felt the ground start to move beneath me and i head to the stairs and start climbing.(this is where it ended last night

Hmmm.

Thanks for the dream.

First of all, as you may already know, we have recurring dreams when our subconscious mind continues to work on an "unresolved problem". In other words, the dream will stop recurring after the "problem" has been solved.

What I find interesting in this dream is how it continues to "progress". You keep waking up later and later. That *might* suggest you're coming closer to the solution.

And in fact, the little girl (strangers, male or female, in our dreams are often "slices" of ourselves) offers one suggestion: climb the stairs. And I like this suggestion because usually when you're climbing or ascending it's a POSITIVE sign, rather than the negative signs of going down, falling, descending, etc...

Those underground spikes are interesting. Sort of like land mines. I wonder if you feel that some aspect of your life is like a battlefield with hidden traps.
