Occupy Wall St---I warned you, didn't I?
#81
Would you say the genuine are a majority or a minority, because in Australia, a majority take advantage of welfare when they are more than capable of working.

And there you go, another foreigner telling American's how to run our country. We can write this poster off.

No nation is interested in foreigners commenting on their domestic issues. This is impolite.

I have read the last hundred years of your nations LIBERAL history. You personally are apparently part of some minor fringe element down under.

By the way, why does your signature show an American Flag being burned! Wouldn't you be happier burning your own flag?

Your posting is tasteless. You should move to Wall Street, then we can take you out with the rest of CEO trash.

Excuse me? I did what?

and I am not a foreigner thank you very much and I would like you point out exactly where I have told anyone how their country would be best run.

I'm sorry I hit a raw nerve with you about not caring about about ANY countries welfare dependant poor people...actually I have nothing to be sorry for and you quiet clearly have a serious problem that it manifesting itself with 'voices in your head' because everything you have accused me of if non-existant except in your own mind, no idea whaere you got it from.

As for you link, couldn't be bothered looking at it as I really couldn't give a flying fuck about what any 'foreigner' thinks of Australia, much less what you might think of Australia you incidious little gnat.

Oddly enough, The U.S. makes no secret of how other nations should conduct themselves.

If you would rather foreigners not comment on the U.S. then I suggest you find a forum with fewer foreigners.

I would say that the majority of poor I have seen are there due to circumstances beyond their control. The media and those opposed to any welfare tends to hype up the cases like the mother with 12 children from as many fathers and use that as 'proof' that the system is being used by only abusers.

Ability to work and ability to get a job are two different things.

Blacks in the USA are NOT treated equally, even the ones with degrees and papers up the yang yang are passed over to select whites. If you are poor, you are already less likely to get a decent job than someone who is crappy at the job, but already has money.

Even with this economic 'down turn' companies are refusing to hire people who are unemployed, only hiring people who are already working. Don't ask me what that logic is. http://www.usatoday.com/money/economy/20...tion_N.htm

If you do not have the latest technology, such as a computer or a cell phone, don't expect to get a job in most areas. you need a cell phone, an email address.

All this economic crunch has done, here in the states, is make it more visible how hiring is done. Its actually done like this all the time.

Women are less likely to be picked for a job than men, a woman with a child and no husband - she might as well just go stand on a street corner and get it over with. Yes it is that pathetic here in the USA.

There are abusers, I will give you that, but there is a greater majority who are being forced on the dole by bad business ethics and a society that pays lip service to the idea of equality, but sadly doesn't actually do it.

Wow! I mean WOW! that really sounds, I don't know, I never imagined a culture to be so prejudiced. I mean Australia has it's fair share or racism, sexism and other general social prejudices but I don't think it is as deeply ingrained as the picture you have painted.

I always knew Australia was lucky in the sense that we have a fantastic health care system where the Government subsidises around 75% of medical expenses compared to USA which is believe is around 20%.

I was always under the general impression that countries that share bloodlines (UK, USA, NZ, Aus, Canada) weren't that far removed from each other, but the picture that you have painted gives the impression that the USA is only interested in the material, that's depressing Sad

When did Australia free their slaves?

The USA didn't free the slaves until 1865, even then there was the segregation all the way up to the 1960's. You know white only water fountains, blacks rode at the back of the bus....Rolleyes

As for the material, which nation is the riches and uses up the more resources?

That should be example enough of our collective greed. While our dollar says 'In God We Trust' the truth is that means that the dollar is our God. And like it or not, American is fully of religious fanaticism, both for the Old Testament God and the Dollar God.

Like I said, Politically the USA talks a great talk, we puff ourselves up and throw out words like 'equality' and 'tolerance' and 'Look we are the Melting pot of the world'. What we actually do is much different.

Our Aborigines were stolen from their families and forced to work for 'white', but it was always under the guise of adoption, so in a sense it remained hidden to history. This took place up until the 1960's. It was the late 1960 before our indigeonous gained the right to vote and to this day still account for a majority of the disadavantaged in many areas and are still discriminated against.

I wouldn't go as far to say that Australia is a land of equality either, but I would say that we are tolerant and our generations are learning from our ancestors mistakes, but we still have a long way to go.

Religion isn't held in the same esteem as it is in the USA, although Australia is predominantly Christian.

Having already spoken of welfare, in Australia the general consensus is a majority claiming welfare are abusing the system, and the welfare system is broken, especially when a pensioner who slogged their guts out for their country and gave 40-50 years of their life gets $18 000 a year in pension....yet come over illegally in a boat and the government will give you $45 000 a year.

And we as tax payers and voters should accept this?

Maybe you should look at your header. It say Australia. If there is a miscommunication, it stems from your incompetence. What are you talking about "voices in your head?" You could be a schitz, you might want to see a doctor about that.

You did not hit a "raw nerve," I have little use for sloppy posters. You really should read your last four posts in this thread. Xyxthumbs
