Last nights debate/ Gays in the Military
#11
Did anyone hear about the sex scandal a year or two ago?

There is this amateur gay porn site (Active Duty) that specializes in getting military men to do the "nasty". The owner of the site is located somewhere in the south near a military base. He hangs out at the local Walmart and picks up on young military men. He says it is extremely easy to get them to do stuff because they are use to taking orders and he gives them all kind of orders - really amazing actually.

Someone got wind of the site and participants were charged and forced out of the military. The site was on lockdown for a while but is now going stronger than ever (No publicity is bad publicity)...

Here is an interesting article with a few links down the page for those interested Active Duty: Mark Simpson, Details, & the 82nd Airborne - Towleroad, More than gay news for more gay men

*** warning! The above link didnt have an adult warning so I dont think there is anything to worry about. They even seemed to sensor f@ck. All should be good but just a note.

I have not served in the military. I cannot imagine wanting to.
The United States no longer has a draft. Serving in the military is voluntary.
Anyone going into service knows the rules and laws, hopefully, not to mention the risks.

Yes we know the rules and laws

And the risks

We do it anyway, not because we are gluttons for punishment but because we care about the security of this country. I have been in the Army for 8 years, and even though the Army does not support my lifestyle, I support the Army, because the Army is a necessary component of our society. Anyone who thinks otherwise is deluding themselves.

After reading the above I realize it could be taken the wrong way. I don't mean to demean those who never served. I just think that those of us who do deserve more respect.

And, Look at the years long war that was waged by the United States in Vietnam, not to mention Cambodia. Of course there was a draft then.
57,000 Americans were killed in that useless war.

The truth is that Vietnam never did a thing to harm or provoke the United States. Why President Johnson got bogged down in that bottomless pit still puzzles me to this day.

In reply to Jim and Richard,

If society abandoned every institution that does (or has done) some harm regardless of the good that it does then we would have precious little left.

If nobody joined an institution except those that completely agreed with all the rules, regulations and practices of that institution then (assuming enough joined for it to survive) it would never change.
