OK...I'm hoping that I word my response appropriately enough where no one would get offended or take what I'm about to say offensive but...when I was working bar in the gay club...we would have a lot of gay male performers would come to town as a featured guest and they would do dance striptease and then meet and greet the patrons and take pictures as well. When the club closes ...a lot of them would hang around and go out with me and the other bartenders where we would have these conversations about the porn industry. During this time..Falcon, Catalina and Hot House studios were very popular and while discussing this...I bought up the fact that there were very few black gay porn stars that had equal exposure or popularity as the Caucasian performers and more than likely...if they happened to bring any Black performers to the forefront...to me...these guys always looked as if they just got out of prison or they found them on a corner or in an alley. Otherwise..they never had Black performers whom were very attractive, well built and have those handsome features which gave the White performers that star appeal so to speak. Falcon Studios is one of the studios that comes to mind that as far as I know did not feature men of color in the same fashion or if any as they did performers such as; Tom Chase, Chase Hunter, Ken Ryker and etc. Although, many men of color were featured in independently owned studios for those purposes...unfortunately...they were still not as popular as the studios that I've mentioned above. To conclude..this has always been a concern and a turn off for me within the gay porn industry.

What don't I like about commercial porn?
All the fucking is for the camera and not for each other. It's not the way it's done in real life for real couples. Too many guys who've watched way too much porn get into real life situations and try to do it the way they've seen in porn flicks. The positions in porn are good for the camera but not all that great in real life.

I'd agree with a lot of what's been said here, there often is just no real emotion. And yes, when a storyline is involved it is often so flimsy and unrealistic, and the acting is often awful! There may as well be no storyline at all!
