If he got it a while ago when he was raped, he would have tested positive before. And also, he most likely would have passed it on to you before this, and you probably would have had symptoms.
I don't know. No one knows the truth of it but your fiance. I imagine he's scared to death to own up to whatever happened. Afraid that you might leave him, maybe. But this isn't like a stray kiss at a drunken party. It's serious. This is your health we're talking about. You need to know that drunk or sober, he isn't going to put you at risk.
It will probably be hard to break through his defensiveness right now, maybe if you just approach him with no blame or recriminations......just the need to talk because you need to understand.
