Latest news on the river.

To give some sort of perspective, someone mention the Bangledesh monsoonal floods.

Bangledesh Area = 147,570 sq km (56,977 sq mi)
Australian Area = 7,617,930 sq km (2,941,299 sq mi)
The state of New South Wales Area = 809,444 sq km (312,528 sq mi)
The state of Queensland Area = 1,852,642 sq km (715,309 sq mi)
France area = 674,843 sq km (260,558 sq mi)
Sweden Area = 449,964 sq km (173,745 sq mi)
US State of Texas area = 696,241 sq km (268,581 sq mi)

2-3 weeks ago approximately 80% of Queensland was impacted by floods. This flood water moves South through New South Wales and into Victoria and South Australia. The entire journey to the southern sea takes about 4-6 weeks.

So all that water from the Queensland floods is making its way through NSW now and on top of all that flood water, parts of NSW are experiencing rain of over 200mm (8 Inches) in a 24 hour period.

Right now there is 75 % of NSW affected by flooding, so that means 600 000 sq km (230 000 sq mi), 3 times the size of Bangledesh, almost the size of Texas and France is experiencing floods. If this water were to be transefered to Europe, the entire land of Sweden would be in flood.

This Inland sea from flood water is only taking into account the water in NSW right now. Large parts of Queensland, Northern Territory, Victoria nd South Australia are also experiencing flood waters at the moment as well

If only I could feel the same with Sweden from time to time.

It looks like it would be a very pretty area under normal circumstances.

I checked the river levels a couple of hours ago on the chart in your original post, I was glad to see it levelling out.

I was also searching the internet and saw a live stream of the dam that is being increased for storage capacity (The dams name escapes me now) but it was completely inundated.
