Latest news on the river.
#51
Storm Warning has been lifted.

A severe weather warning remains in place for heavy rain and rapid water level rises from this afternoon through Monday.

Looking ominous outside right now, but there is little concern my the area I live in as the water gets away pretty quickly in the Currumbin River and Tallebudgera River which is in my backyard.

Fingers crossed you will stay stafe. I witnessed just two floods. One when I was a really little and in 2002 when streets in Prague were several yards bellow water level. Impossible to forget...
I hope you will be safe.

Nothing to report up this wet. Wet and windy this morning, but nothing unusual. I think the north side of Brisbane got the heaviest of rain over night.

Looking at the BOM, seems like your weather is clearing Mum.

Hello,
I am pleased to see both difiant and rainbow mum doing ok despite the crappy mother nature instincts... If in doubt head to higher land lol... How many weather fronts does australia have??? The UK has seven different weather fronts hence why with our weather it can be clear skies midnight to 6 and then cloud till9 before getting sunny till say 1400 and then heavy down pour til 1800 and be clear again for the night... Hasnt your towns built major storm drains??? Here in Brighton UK we have a storm drain in place because our neighbour which is a small down of Lewes (pronounced lewis not loos) has a river which regularly bursts its banks...

Keep safe guys and hoipe this subsides

Kindest reghards
