weather where ever
Flooded in here, with rain still pelting down. At this stage it is not possible to predict the flood peak because of uncertainty over how much more rain will fall, but heavier downpours are expected today.
My house is safe but probably a couple of days before I can get out again.

Today was warm enough to be outside in short sleeves Smile (sunny & 50's..maybe close to 60 F)

It rained alittle here yesterday evening/night...wtf...this is January...its not supposed to rain, it should be snow...

They say chance of snow tomorrow night, but very little accumulation (in general its been far too dry this winter)

I'm enjoying a large cold front, served with a side of residual snow. Though hopefully it'll be 50 (10 c) Wednesday....... then back to freezing misery.

Stay Safe Aquarian...I have just seen the the eye of this 'cylone' (That isn't a cyclone because it is too far south to be called a cyclone) has just crossed the border so the worst for you is yet to come. The bottom edge of the system is just passing through Sydney and well on its way to Goulburn, so mum, don't get complacent just yet, worse to come.

We hade the worst of it this morning. Just in the 5 minute drive to work I dodged at least a couple of dozen trees over the road and the river was about 30cm from bursting it's bank 3 hours shy of the 2.5m high tide so we have a bit over water over the road.

Most parts of the Gold Coast lost their power about 11pm last night and won't have power again until midday Wednesday. My work went out at 11pm last night, my home went out about 7am. Work is still without power, but home had the power put on within 5 hrs.

There are serveral buildings without a roof, radio and TV towers have been blown over and about 200m south of my work a Tornado srtuck around lunch time and threw and empty bus 100 metres across the road, the only thing that stopped it going further is the house that it smashed into.

Just been sent home from work and catching up on the news now.

Please stay safe and dont do anything stupid!!! Stay indoors and keep yourself safe! It would be devestating to lose you! Hurricanes are not a joke!!! I live in the northeast in america and we rarely ever see anything. when we do it is nowhere near the full force of a hurricane. and even with that fact the storms knock out our poer and knock down trees and people still get hurt! so the real thing is a fucking nightmare to me!!!! BE SAFE!!!!!! Cry

Pretty much in the same boat Lewis. Don't see them this far south normally, but the impact of this cell has impacted literally from the tip of Australia to Tasmania way down south which is a stretch of coast about 3800 km long (about 2100mi).

I am definately keeping safe and I will be here for a very long time Lewis, thank you very much Bighugxxx

is it over yet? last time we had one here we lost power for 10 days and it probably wasn't near as bad as yours.

the weather in Virginia is freakin bipolar, Sunday night it was in the low 20's(F) with ice and snow on the roads, Tuesday it was 64F and today it's 70F and tomorrow into the weekend it will drop to the 40's and lower Headscratch there's people all over VA confused wearing shorts a hoody sandals and gloves Smile

There are still about 20 000 people without power in my region but the clean up of all the debris has begun in ernest.

Further north in cities like Logan, Bundaburg and Rockhampton, and south in cities like Grafton, Lismore and Kempsy, they are all still dealing with or waiting for flood water peaks, some cities expecting peaks almost 20 metres (About 60ft).

I'm not too sure how they are faring further south in cities and towns down around where Mum and Rockers live, but they all seem to be travelling well also.

The weather you are describing is what we refer to as 'Melbourne Weather', that city can get 4 seasons in 1 day.

Thank you for asking Wink
