Although I'm not a biblical person or religious for that matter I believe like sexuality, race and religion doesn't matter if you love someone. So what if your parents don't like him, if you have feelings for him and love him so what they think. Live for you and not for them. :-)

No offense but this is non-existence in the religion. I was raised as a Muslim and well educated in the religion. Bestiality has to do more with culture. Same goes with honor killing.

My boyfriend is not out to his parents, and he told me that he could not tell it to his parents, because his parents simply don't even know the word gay, or that homosexuality exists..... his parents live in Afghanistan and he sees no point of telling them. He will not marry a girl, allthough his parents wanted him to marry a girl. He told his parents that he was not the type to marry a girl, and does not want to marry, his parents accepted that.
My boyfriend is out to his cousin and some friends. He will soon tell his brother about his sexuality. His Cousin is fine with it and accepts him.

I am sorry to hear your parents do not approve however you are 20 years old and now you have the right to choose who you have as a partner.. I met my ex boyfriend when i was 20 and he is a Romany Gypsie and my family didnt approve of him but i told them straight.. He is someone I am wanting to be with and ask that you as my family respect my wishes and support me in what i do as i support you in what you may choose to do. I also requested that they respect him and understand that if anything goes wrong then i only have myself to blame and not them.
I think the whole religious killings can be construded as mis guided information because it isnt really muslims that do all that by what my knowledge of knowing some have said... I believe alot of honour killings are to do with tribal cultures in various countries and not really one in the UK.. A honor killing doesnt occur that often in the united kingdom however it has no stigma race or religion attached because we are sauch a diversified country...

I think the best thing to do is tell your family to not judge a book by its cover and be happy for you as you are for them..

It's pretty much exclusive to those of Indian and Pakistani heritage in the UK, and I'm not sure I've heard of an example from anything other than an Islamic background.

The problem with society is we label everything and to be honestr... Two estates in a run down council town at war with guns and killing one another surely this is a form of honour killings because your gaining respect for the gangs? I dont like to label things but an honour killing in my understanding is someone killing someone to gain happiness... Which is sick really.
