It's a bad time to get into porn, performers are paid less than ever before, and it is nearly impossible for any independent sites to survive without an already established brand. Things are at a point now that even the biggest names in LA work as escorts on the side to make a decent living, and they'll be washed up in a few years or so.

My brother worked in the porn industry for 8 years in marketing and distribution, I've met a number of porn stars and most of them were broken people with serious issues, I'm not sure you'd want to go down that road.

You might have to buff it up a bit if you are considering work in the United States... for Prague, maybe your natural looks are enough... Do you really want to go into porn??? What are you expecting to get out of it? Because if it's a good shag, I think you're in for a disappointment, and some frustrations.

I would really give it a good think... Is it (quick) money you are after? Is it fame? Is it just non stop sex? Is it a nervous breakdown and depression? Is it self loathing? Is it discrimination once people find out what you've done? Are you sure you have the mental strength for it? Are you sure you won't get into heavy drugs to sustain your drive to work in that line of business... Check out what former porn stars have become and have to say.

Definitely not fame. Money is an attraction. Also I'm obsessed with sex. Sex is the main part but obviously I also want to get paid.
Nervous breakdown and depression is something I can see myself experiencing doing a regular job. I am definitely depressed with my job even though it's pretty good compared to what other people my age have. I just find it very boring.....and the tought of any other regular job. I've never took drugs and don't plan to.

I worked with a coupe of pretty famous porn stars and I know alot of the money they got was from fringe benefits...ie...being hired as escorts for individuals...conventions...parties....and alot of them will attract the attention of a wealthy client. Others became the owners of the company and made their millions that way which is pretty much the same with any industry.

As for you in porn..if you want it bad enough I am sure you can make it.

It is true though about porn stars making less these days...the Internet leveled alot of formerly lucrative gigs.

I would like to clarify that the only thing your make from doing porn for a living is the possibility of being a Tart... I used to live with a porn star in rented accomodation and despite his agency getting him a lot of hits his work wasnt exactly that induced and the stress of making an ideal film or play had to be perfect... After he completed his roles and it was uploaded for every download for £6.99.. Production staff get £5.40... Agency 0.90p and He the star gets 69p.... You would have to sell 10 of them in order to make £6.90 which would cover your percific lube cost which the production would insist you purchase and use as a insurance precaution... Then you got the train faire of Brighton - London (£14 so thats another 25 movie clips to get downloaded) then you got the underground fair etc etc and he never made much more than a few hundered quid a month from it but did it as a way of getting sex only...

On top of that your life is very restricted as a porn star because one night on the tiles and you could find yourself loosing your job if you have some form of STI as regular health checks are done and many people at his agency had been sacked as a result so please if you do go into it dont expect a lot of money... As its commissioned based.... Furthermore the rich bitch is the company boss not the porno star!

I had a bf years back that had me take pictures of him and he was sending them into a magazine or a porn video company and was trying to get into porn. I guess the hardest part is getting your foot in the door and then after that its great. Yet he was pale as a ghost and he needed to be darker and then they would possibly consider him and then you have to be buff and all that fun stuff. Who are the millionaire porn stars you are referring to???
I think many of them do do escorting as a secondary job because shooting a porn film is probably not something that they can do for any length of time unless they are particularly sought after by the companies... You get to see the same names go around most porn sites for a while and then their names never appear again... You could read some of the book written by Aiden Shaw or watch the documentaries Everything you ever wanted to know about gay porn stars (or some title similar to that one)...

Basically, I don't think any one of us is telling you NOT to do it, but we are just trying to tell you that it's not an ideal life and that as any other job it will have its issues, about losing your job, about being able to sustain it for a period of time, of whether you don't find it too hard psychologically even though you seem to think you'll be getting great sex out of it. If you want great sex, maybe joining a club would be better... if you're ready to do some escorting that would also be a way of getting sex and getting paid for it, at least you wouldn't have to have the stops and starts of getting into filming. If you think porn stars go at it for 20 minutes uninterrupted, you're wrong. They change the camera angles all the time, and the lighting, and want to edit a funny noise out, or any glitch, so it's quite a stressful job, in the end. Just don't think of it as being all perks and glamour.
