Roxy Update

Counselor Wrote:How's he doing, Kinki?

He's doing really well =) He started talking last night and although he was quiet he didn't stop for a while ^_^

He's still in the ICU but they're going to move him tomorrow after they have a chat with him. So far, no-ones dared to bring up what actually happened and I know at some point he's going to have to give a statement to the police. Fingers Crossed though, he's keeping a smile on his face =D

He thanks you guys for all your support, I read the messages you send everyday. He loves to hear from you all. Imu2

you know, Kiki, I've heard many times that people should use internet less, that living "via internet" is a false substitution for the real life, that internet is full of pretending and internet friends are much less than the real ones.
My experience over the years is totally different. In fact it's exactly opposite. And I am glad you and Roxy are part of my internet world.

When the time comes for him to give his statement, let him know I'm rooting for him, he can do it!

You know what Nick? I am thrilled that you and the guys here at GS are a part of ours too. (That actually moved me to tears T.T, I love you, thank you so much, when Rox wakes up that'll be the first thing he hears)

Rox never went to a public school, never had any friends same story at work. He does his job, doesn't make friends there or anything. I went to school and I struggled to really connect with people. I very quickly found that it was just me and Rox and it's been that way for years.

I feel blessed that me and him have been able to reach out and find you. Being able to talk to others really helped him open up, and me as well. I know that if he had not made the friends he has on here, had the encouragment, the acceptance and the love that you all showed so sincerely, he may not have had the fight in him that he did to get through this. They can only bring someone back a certain amount of times and he is seriosuly lucky.

This site really changed his life, and in doing so it changed mine. He was dead set on never getting into a relationship. Ever. Then he took a chance, because listening to you guys on here opened his mind and heart, and he found someone~~ *have to behave and not go all fangirl* Who is really awesome and loving...and will get really embarrassed if he reads this...

I have so much to say! But it would end up a huge long essay >.< I can't express how grateful I am to you all, or how much I love you all - I feel so awed by the heartfelt love and concern shown for him and myself.

For people like us, who truly have no real family or friends the phrase 'in real life' is sheer nonsense. You all exist, you're not made up or fictional. You're real and the love you show is real.

Our World is truly awesome =D

When I was a kid, there was no internet  There were no VCRs either  There was almost nothing in our TV (2 channels then), so it was either reading in our spare time or being outside with our friends. I loved my childhood and had a lot of friends. We spent hours running and playing outside everyday.

I can see how the world has changed. I'm 40 and my kids love to be on the internet and play games with their friends or chat. Some of them they know in real life, some they probably never meet.

I was horrified at first. "Go outside and play! How come you don't want to ... (fill in)"
I think that we (our generation) need to accept that spending time on the internet is not en evil thing.

I saddened me when I'd heard once that for someone I was less a friend, just because we would never meet.
I admit I have two lives and I consider my internet one more real, honest and emotional than the real one. Sure, my internet friends won't come over and help me build a pond, but that's ok. The real friends never helped me with my suicidal thoughts. Both words have some assets and flaws, but both are important for me.

Tbh, until GS me and Rox never even used the internet lol. We never had facebook or any of those social sites, we spent most of our time either dancing or working, or reading or something lol. it was nice, but that gets very lonely at times.

I feel the same Nick.

Its probably a good thing we can only be there for you and Roxy in spirit otherwise it would be a very crowded room and Roxy would have been smothered in hugs and well wishes days ago.

This is the first thread I check when I come on here now, i'm so glad that Roxy is improving.
