Drag Queens
#11
Just another behavioral trait... like walking with a swagger or dressing all goth or punk or whatever. If thats their schtick, more power to them. Do what you enjoy. And if you pull it off smashingly, even better. There are a lot of people good at very little, these people take their talents and run with them.

Im not going to scrutinize someone for doinging something like this. Ignorance and stupidity are far more concerning to you or I than this is by a long shot. They arent hurting anyone, and they and their voyeurs enjoy it. Live and let live.

Drag Queens can be seperated form Trans for starters.

Drag Queens is a form of cross-dressing, fulfilling some sort of fantasy, but also largely they are entertainers anything from a comedian to a singer. Drag Queen don't feel like they are trapped in the wrong body, there is no gender identity crisis, drag queens dress up predominantly for 'FUN'. I have 2 friends that are drag queens and at the end of the day they are just blokes playing dress ups.

Is it arousing? Is it a desire to be someone else? Do they simply like fancy dresses? Do they want to be desired as a woman or a man? Do they think about themselves as he or she?
I think it's probably, by and large, to have fun.(and sometimes make some money from it.:tongueSmile
What makes it fun for them varies from person to person.

I would think most common would be a enjoyment of acting and gender-bending.

The best way to find answers would be to ask one. Or rather, several Drag Queens.

I love drag queens. Actually while we are on the subject, i would love to be in a drag show. Believe it or not, getting the nice dresses on and all the makeup is very exhilarating. With that said, i notice a lot of drag queens going overboard with the makeup. It seems to be the tradition of all of it, it just isnt appealing to me opposed to simple and elegant.

And yes im a member on here who would like to be in a drag show, do you honestly think im disgusting?

I saw Poison Waters at Sexpalooza in November, she was quite entertaining... My favorite was when she said all the male dancers wanted her body, but she couldn't because she was already pregnant and didn't know who the father was because she didn't have eyes in the back of her head.

I prefer to celebrate the male form not hide it. Regardless, I don't have a problem with them.

Heck. I'd like to cosplay if the opportunity ever came up. I'm sure someone thinks cosplayers are weird.

I think it can get weird. Like when your 400lb basement dwellers dress in skimpy anime outfits

That being said i would totally dress as Alphonse Elric if I was 6" taller. Lol

best scene of the movie Smile

Honestly I have a feeling it would be a whole lot of fun. The idea of putting on heavy makeup and being something amazing and theatrical is something so appealing to me. Mostly because it's so detached from yourself, you don't have to deal with your own inhibitions.
