Zeon your post has brought me to tears. How kind of you to take the time share such raw emotion and serious personal pain. You are sure to be a wonderful peer support and what a gift for you to offer. Best wishes on the journey and thanks for caring beyond your own personal world!
Life's too short to miss an opportunity to show your love and affection!

Zeon! Please remember that your life is a long way from over. With the treatments available you will be with us for a long time to come and will outlast most of us. I am sorry that I cannot share your agony. I cannot imagine what you are going through as young as you are.
After my heart attack when I was 42, I was laying in the hospital room facing certain death and realized that now I have to learn to live one day at a time and make the most of each day. It changes your perspective and your goals. That was 18 years ago! I am still here. It has not been a easy path but I am still here. Since that time I have raised two boys and watched them get married and have children (both straight). Since then I have buried my parents and other family members.
As you will see, there will be adjustments to your life but it will go on.
After this initial panic subsides you will learn to stop and smell the flowers, breath the air, listen to the rain on the windows, watch the sunsets and make plans for the next day.
And I just saw the other day that they have maybe found a "cure". So NEVER give up hope! And most importantly, remember we all love you!!

Also something to consider.
These days people who have HIV generally have a longer life expectancy than people with diabetes.
