Another guy in the gym made me smile today.

I used to train weightlifting in this one particular gym for 3 years. On my last year, a guy named Ethan showed up. He was actually a gym member of another gym. He trained in my gym several times because his gym was overly crowded.

There was a strange spark between Ethan and me. We didn't talk much. But we did a lot of eye contact with each other.

Then one day Ethan just disappeared. He did mention that he was busy with his job as he has to travel a lot. Few months later, I left my gym. I moved to a new gym.

Several weeks ago, I was training in my new gym and then Ethan appeared. Apparently my new gym happens to be Ethan's gym. He saw me and had a big smile on his face. I continued with my workout. I noticed Ethan stole a glance or two at me whilst I was working out I only approached him after I finished my workout. I shook his hand and asked how he was doing. Then I left.

Then Ethan went missing again.

Today Ethan showed up when I was in the middle of my workout. He had a tired looking face - uncombed hair with scruffy beard. We looked at each other. I was surprised to see him all scruffy and tired. Never seen him this way before.

He did one set of workout before returning to the changing room. Few minutes later, he returned to the weightlifting area - combed hair, shaved and no beard. I took a glance at him. He gave me a wink. I waved at him and he waved back.

"...Wait a minute, did he just wink at me?" I had to double confirm with myself.

He approached me when I took a break to drink water. He wished me a happy new year and asked if I have finished with my workout. We had a short chat. I made a silly joke in the end of our conversation. He had that sort of shy smile on his face.

Then I left.

So yeah. Today was an interesting day.

Weird. One of my cousins made me feel uncomfortable with some serious talking about life and choices. I'd much rather be talking about the weather with my family.
