I had a nice day yesterday. I spent the afternoon in London. I walked from King's Cross to Camden and up to Kentish Town.

First encounter outside King's Cross station was with a friend from a neighbouring village in Norfolk. She had just collected her mum from a train at Euston. I visited a small national resource centre and found myself volunteering to help digitise their existing sound archive. I hope to spend a bit of time there doing something useful in the next few weeks. Walked over a canal and saw a loan boater going through a lock. It's a pain doing it all yourself so I stopped to give him a hand. How lovely to be operating lock gates again. I really miss the canals. Saw a woman with three very young children, one in a buggy, one on foot and one on a scooter <sings "We Three Kings" ...> waiting to cross the road. Although she turned me down when I offered help she smiled and said, "Thank you". By chance encountered a branch of a shop I'd been meaning to find for some time and bought PA a small gift I'd been looking for for some time too. Enjoyed a beautiful walk in the delightful spring sunshine. Met a French friend whilst waiting in a queue and had a chat, mostly in French. His English is only marginally better than my French but he said it was "très rare" to find un Anglais who spoke French. Did my confidence no end of good Wink Les Anglais I usually encounter seem to have been born to speak French and I usually feel entirely inadequate. Finished the day by exchanging text messages with my dear PA. He still loves me and I love him.

Yes, nice day.

Did a good dance session last night and found some fun moves for the waltz... Then today had a relaxed day listening to new music online... I just LOVE Abeille Music... and then made lunch (risotto) which we had at 5 pm, lol, then went to see a French classical play in which Simon played the lead part and he wasn't half good... Good for you Simon!!! XyxthumbsXyxthumbsXyxthumbs
Strangely I'd never seen that play before. Only Lorenzaccio. So I was glad to see it at last, and well performed by a 17 year-old who is just such a natural on stage. Confusedmile:
