My dad has been a mess for some time but so thickheaded that he would not get medical help (he fell down 6 weeks ago - and since then has fallen down many many many more times). Last nite he fell again and then found that he couldnt get downstairs this morn. I finally got the news (my parents know that I wont take any sh!t from them and just contact their docs and then call the ambulance) from my sis, called his doc and was told to call an ambulance and get him to the ER.

He now has a broken hip and just next to an emergency surgery list. It is gonna be a very long week. But the weather forecast says it is going to be a bit warmer so that is GREAT!!!

... and in other news... Got the floors finished. WoW, they look so amazing. And WoW got one beautiful shade of purple on one room and the big room done tomorrow.

Well I'm feeling a lot better :biggrin:

I've been really worried for a while because last week I was with my best friend and my crush, and halfway during a film she started having a fit.

It ended up with her screaming saying her body hurt and she was freezing; and us phoning NHS 24/7 who was absolutely useless. The woman questioned us for literally 15 minutes before then asking the same questions to the girl HAVING THE FIT before then saying she would get an ambulance over there "and they'll be there in about 20 minutes".

And after that neither of us heard from her for a bit and I was really worried, but I got a text saying she'll be out of hospital by tonight so I'm really happy now mile:

AND I may or may not have been dancing around my room with a hairbrush as a fake microphone singing Maybe This Time (the glee cast version). I guess it was just one of those days when I woke up on the right side of the bed.[/COLOR]

Just want to fuc!ing sleep for a couple days now.
Things are improving minutely with dad in the hospital but UGH such a horror. He has seemingly caught "hospital induced psychosis". He goes in lucid and over night total dementia. UGH.
The average elderly patient that goes thru this makes amazing recoveries within minutes of being released. Weird.

But OMG, I am so happy with the work on the first floor. I now have a hand-finished wood floor and an amazing purple on the walls. It is really hard to capture the real color my eyes are seeing but this is close (there is a bit of blue tint to the pics that isnt there in real life):



I am going with a really strong GOLD for trim... just a bit... but OMG - told my masterhandyman to do the heater vents in GOLD and OMG they came out so stunning even my EXTREMELY hetero/non-artist handyman says the place is looking AMAZING
