I absolutely hate it, mainly because whenever someone uses it they are talking about someone being gay, in a negative context. It's a stupid word and I wish it didn't exist. I also know that, the word doesn't even mean gay... so... -__-

@MisterTinkles- There is a legitimate difference between words and acronyms o.o No matter how many times someone uses an acronym it will NEVER become a word... Acronyms provide an easy form of contact, yes you can over use them... but saying ICU instead of typing out the entire word can be helpful. Especially if you're still in the stone age with an old phone that takes you forever to type a word.
