Feminism and hatred towards feminism
#41
If someone calls themselves feminist, it seems to me there for one half of a civilisation. i am for equall rights but i think its equall, socially i think its equall. i,ve been treated like crap by men and women in my life, i cant walk down the street on a friday night without getting hounded by groups of drunk woman, usually with a burger in one hand, shouting they like to give me a shag, this sort of thing happened to me lots. Look meg, im sorry you been treated bad, that was there choice, not a wide-spread anti-female policy. my life has been hard, but i havent got a feminism or a anything else.

it damn well was a wide spread anti female policy .

it happened to me but it happens to millions of girls and women all over the world , and happens because some sick idiots want to dominate and oppress women . i would call that a wide spread anti female policy.

feminism is necessary for a million reasons . the reason it focuses on women is because women have generally been treated much worse than men have for their gender , but it is about equality and so also aims to help men be equal to women as well .

there are places in the world where it's considered okay for a man to rape his wife , because she's his property . there are places where , if a woman goes outside without covering up her body , she could have acid thrown in her face . there are places where teenage girls are killed by their own families to preserve their honor if they lose their virginity to a rapist .
these are wide spread anti female problems . that's why feminism is still very very very much needed .

What? Im sorry but where the hell is this happening? I honestly think this is a hyperbole. Since when did women feel entitled to a mans body, let alone a group of women. Feminism calls for gender equality not get equality for women but equality for both men and women. I mean why is it ok to be a tomboy and portray masculine traits as a female but its a disgrace for a man to have a feminine features? And this exist even in gay society, the on going debate between being "masc" or "fem." As much as we learn in our history class that society has grown we still live in a patriarchic society.

This occurs not only in conservative countries but in countries like the US. People actually believe and get away with rape because "she was drunk," "she was showing her midriff and wearing a short skirt," or "she was leading me on." There is a recent case that media latched on like flies on honey where the parents and even the school administrato3rs defended the kids that raped and killed a girl because they needed them on the football team, they were star players. This is one of the reason why this world needs feminism, because rape culture exists even though most of us turn our back and ignore it.

Are you sure they're not prostitutes? Because that's the only way I can imagine the scene. And I'm reminded of a humorous saying:

When a man talks dirty to a woman it's sexual harassment, when a woman talks dirty to a man it's $3.99 a minute.

But if it's not you should figure out why it's so, because you could get rich selling your secret to a great many straight men! Heck, if it's "just the women" then even just knowing the very odd place where women are like this could be worth money as a sex tourist agent!

And it's still not the same. Your chances of being raped aren't anywhere as likely were they men and you a woman.

I do agree that in most modernized countries, men and women are somewhat equal juridically and socially. I have a very close female friend who once told me she feels like Swedish feminists are trying to make her feel oppressed when in actuality she's never been mistreated because of her gender.

However, even in these countries that we perceive as equal there are problems; mainly in the general attitude towards women. Based on my own country alone and not globally, I'd say there's no need to struggle for women's political and social opportunities because they're already equal to that of a man. It's a battle they already won. Instead they need to fight some common assumptions such as promiscuous women being worthless whores whereas it's merely a part of masculine nature to embrace one's sexuality. That women who drop sexual hints then change their minds are sluts and that women who alter their bodies are shallow and insecure.

Similar problems exist for males as well, mind you, but in most regards I'd say this kind of thing is more likely to be aimed towards women. That's why feminism is needed.

Partisan, no offense intended, but the people you're bashing are not feminists.

Oh and just an example to further illustrate the point.

In my primary school there were two sexual scandals involving teachers over the course of 5 years. The boy who engaged in sexual activities with our Spanish teacher returned to indifference from girls and praise from the boys for having "scored a MILF".

The girl who engaged in sexual activities with our math teacher had to move far away because people (boys and girls) kept carving stuff like "cockhungry whore" onto her locker.

Woman should be making me sandwiches. Just sayin it's there job u.u

In other news that was for shits and giggles and I almost hope it offended someone.

People should just be themselves and do what ever they wana do. If you wana make me a sandwich I won't object (Most of the time) And if you wana be a feminist do that to. Just be you. No hate.
