Don't know about all churches but the other day there was a picture in the paper of a gay couple getting married by a priest. What I noticed though is that it seems that the gay couples are being married by female pastors.

It's a pity that there aren't any users from the countries that allow gay marriages but here in South Africa when gay people get married, they go all out.The church, the tuxs, gowns, reception etc.Of course, some just go down to the local Margistrate's Court to get married like a straight couple would.

I live in the UK, yea people here do have the whole ceremony thing where they get a chirch and that but these ceremonies aren't sually carried out by the Major Churches.
One thing is for sure you won't be having a Gay Marriage in a church under a Catholic preist or in a Mosque any time soon both religions shun it. Granted some people in each church are sympathetic and will perform the ceremony but its not recognised by the religion as a whole and for all intensive purposes only the civil partnership [the contract] is valid the church ceremony if there is one is a facade.

In any case, Narnia, what on earth do you mean by THE religion? ....
There is no such thing as THE religion!
I'm sure there have been societies in which gay couples have been accepted, maybe even blessed. Maybe not now in the 21st century. But THE religion??? what?
