So, you've got such BAD problems....

Just because the problems are less significant compared to world scale or even in the eyes of others, it doesn't make the problem any less real or important to the person. It's just how humans work.

I guess Australia is pretty lucky in the fact that WE help our nations unemployed and poor with free medical, subsidised housing a weekly income etc...So we really have no need for people to be living on the streets and yet they do why? Because its there choice not to seek help and the majority of them have some form of a mental illness.
In no way shape or form do I feel sorry for the homeless or poor here in Australia, America or Europe as their is always a way for them to improve their own life even if it means a minimum wage job, It's the people in 3rd world countries I truly feel sorry for as for them there truly isnt anything they can do to help improve their lives.
So while life is hard at times theres always ways to come out the end a better and stronger person and one just has to suck it up and move on.

Australia sounds pretty bad ass then.
Too bad the USA shits on its homeless population.
Sure there are people who DO care, but the government makes it extremely difficult for those who do want to help.
And DONT believe for a minute that these "help" organizations do any actual help.
Sure, they may have a soup kitchen here or there, but thats about it. Most of the money they make goes to the CEOs and other people running those companies.....yes, companies.

A few years ago, one millionaire here in Dallas bought a food truck and stocked it with food, then went down the homeless area and gave it out. It was premade food items, so he didnt make this food at home or anything. But the city of Dallas, in its infinite stupidity sent the police out to "shut him down".

Apparently he didnt have a food license. He didnt need one, he was giving away premade, already paid for food. But yet the dumbassed city shut his operation down and even SUED him for it!!!

I think it should be mandatory for ALL politicians to live homeless for 6 months, so they know what its like.

MisterTinkles Wrote:The point of this was that theres too much over-blown complaining about stuff that is SO significantly minor.

So you arent getting along with your partner/boyfriend. WHAT have you done to correct this?
Most of them havent done a damn thing from what Ive read, except bitch, whine, and moan about it.

If you want to bitch, whine, and moan about something...make it something not so damn shallow and self absorbed.

So? A lot of people have relationships issues. Furthermore that doesn't exclude them from having OTHER deep issues such as the ones you've posted above. It's not bitching and whining, a lot of them are just seeking advice, such as you are seeking attention. This kind of stuff reminds me of that "A pop star dies and everyone cries, but a solider dies and no1currs" type of thing. We all have issues, and no matter which way we look at it, we all have it bad in some form of way.

I know where you are coming from, MrT. And I think that your post is relevant, we need to be reminded to "count our blessings".

we had a period of suicidal threads, now it's bf issues. I wonder if it's contagious Wink

it's great that you want to lift people up. tearing other people down, however, isn't going to help and is loathsome. shame on you.

tell us what you do to help so we can be inspired!

It is unfortunately, the nature of man to bitch about personal issues. There are exceptions of course and you will find that many of those who who do voluntary work are not so self obsessed. I'm not trying to diminish your post Mr Tinkles but you have to be a little tolerant. Of course then there are those who only ever think of themselves so your post is a timely reminder that there are other people in the world that have far more pressing problems.

I can indulge the suffering I feel if I want to. My life is full of challenges. Doing so doesn't seem to get me anywhere, however.

The pics that Tinx posted are humbling, and if you have a computer to visit this site you can be thankful you are not in such a desperate situation.

I watched a young guy pacing my small town today. He did four laps that I noticed, slow and with a vacant stare. I don't know if it's just depression or if there are drugs involved. I suspect meth. A few years ago he was a young father, full of life and hope. I don't know what happened, but it's not pretty.

I could be him. Every day I make a different choice.

Bitching about issues is exactly the king of thing that is expected at this site. It is a place where LBGT can turn for support for their issues on the web.

Why aren't people allowed to come on here and bitch and moan about their problems/issues such as their relationship?

This is a gay forum for LGBT folks. If you're not comfortable reading about them, perhaps you shouldn't be coming onto the Love & Relationship section. There a solution to your problem/issue.

While being grateful for the things you do have is one thing, telling people to zip it and shut up is quite another and frankly very rude. Smile
