I think you have done a great job with this post. It shows us all here on the forum how lucky we all are to have roofs over our heads and food to eat. BA not all homeless people are lazy they are just down on there lucky and I hope and pray that your never in the same situation with no food or some where to sleep. While we are all complain about our boyfriend troubles we should all take a minute to think how lucky we are then others in the world.

I did say I was homeless in my post, and I used a different font to apply T's words to that.

I do not actually believe homeless people are lazy, having been there and having spent many years working with homeless people I do have a very good sense of what is and is not going on in that area.

I used his words to demonstrate how 'pointless' and illogical it is to use such words to describe or address a general population.

Go back and read my whole post again, and put everything back in context and my point should be perfectly clear. If not then I will resort to name calling and call you an idiot, Since Mr. Tinkles sets the stage for this thread and makes it clear that truthfulness precludes tact....:biggrin:

Which tact was my main point, there are nice ways and terrible ways to call people morons/idiots/whatever....

Yes you did bring up some valid issues, however the way you went about it was mean spirited, cruel and malicious.

There are nicer ways to point out the homeless issue - there are nice ways to tell people they are an idiot.

You are striving for honesty, good, fine and well. However Honesty does not preclude Tact.

Yes there are a lot of problems in the world Mr. Tinkles, but resorting to name calling and seeking to hurt people in the process of addressing the issues will always - ALWAYS cause the conversation to move away from the point.

You want to point out the other problems of the world, fine - start a thread dedicated to the other problems of the world, from Homelessness to Sex Slavery, from starvation to bombing of civilian population centers....

These are valid subjects of discussion, but you invalidate those subjects when you start off calling out a group of people for what you perceive to be 'idiotic problems'

Look at this thread, did anyone talk about the abject poverty here? Nope. Has anyone actually discussed homelessness? No, instead they have focused on your 'attack' on those who you feel have "idiotic problems".
