Ive never been to a Rave, but I always wanted to go. There were some raver places here in Dallas, but that was years ago, and I always find out AFTER places have already gone out of business or shut down.
I love techo, trance, drone, and club music. I like JUST the music, Im not too fond of the music with lyrics in it, unless its just vocal background noises. I listen to that pretty much all day at work on my headphones.

Lily,
Yeah, a lot of the Uk Hardcore Dj's have played over here over the years. And a lot of them still do. I'm not much for the new sounding-Hardcore thats coming out nowadays too serious sounding. I love cheesy vocals, bouncy break beatzy stuff with lots of piano's, hehe. And of course Drum n Bass..! b0h boh boh! ahaha

Alluding to our Carribean Culture...we don't really have Raves in the "Traditional" sense, but we call them Carnivals(Car-ne Vaal - Jamaican/ Car-ne-v[silent]wul -Bermudian) or Bacchanal(Bahk-e-naal - Jamaican/ Bahk-a-nul - Bermudian). Which is usually around our "summer time" which goes from End of March to about September-ish, even though we technically have year round summer...
So I suppose for me, this would be music atypical to a "Rave" found here Mostly all Dancehall; And here's an awesome mix track for you all if ya interested ;3 And a Mix by one of my favourite Artists(he's like the Jamaican Version of Drake, minus being mixed). Also, Although some of these songs seem profane, quite alot of them have a good message and are just plain ol fun! So get inna de Bacchanal! Cah it's Bacchanal Time! lol

^This is Jungle [or Ragga Jungle] or what later evolved into Drum n Bass. It has that Raggae influence over it, but obviously a lot faster. It combines two things I like ;D
