There is absolutely nothing with sending private messages. What is wrong is when you open them there is nothing but the sendre's profile and no message.

Oh ok, yes that's pretty dumb! Why do they do that? Do people PM a lot?

Never encountered this myself. Not yet at least.

Maybe it's just a sign that they want you to look at their profile? Maybe there's something on it that they think you have in common, and they want to highlight it? Just an optimistic thought :3

I've never had any of these profile pm's either.

Maybe its just a blatant way to garner more profile views. Some people get all competitive with the 'top' stats leader boards around here.
