Mostly 4. I live in Portland, OR.
I mean, there is no geographical location where every single person you come across is going to be totally accepting, but mostly it's not a big deal where I live. It's a pretty gay-friendly city.

I would say where I live is about a 4.

3.5..?
I live in Connecticut, we're not all rich here, I live in like
the middle/working class area, but if you drive like 15mns away it
gets pretty ghetto, but on the other hand if you drive 15mns
way to a different direction it gets pretty super upper class
rich.
Everyone usually minds their own business. I haven't seen
anyone hold hands in public here before nor have I tried it
myself [I have no one to try it out with].
But from the way people are here, people won't usually
say anything to your face, till you [or your partner] leave,
then they'll start talking shit.
But I don't know, no one really bothers me or says anything
[to my face] about it.

ironically, I live in a "conservative" area of California-so it's like a 2.5 (even though there is a gay bar in the local area) but drive an hr south to west Hollywood, and it's def a 5.

Even though I live in Africa, I come from Portugal.
It's a complicated country, people here are constantly trying to reach a compromise and they can never clearly say 'yes' or 'no', it's always 'maybe'.
Same thing with homophobia. Yes, we were one of the first countries in the world to legalise gay marriage but holding hands in public would be unthinkable in most places.

North of Italy is generally between 2 and 3, the rest maybe between 1 and 2...
I live in London now, and I think we're near the 4 zone, and it still seems improving...
