Not really "Halloweeny", but fun all the same, and my fav.....

Kitty Litter Cake
[Image: 104.jpg]
You need one new, clean kitty litter pan. One new, clean kitty litter scoop.

INGREDIENTS:
1 (18.25 ounce) package German
chocolate cake mix
1 (18.25 ounce) package white cake mix
2 (3.5 ounce) packages instant vanilla
pudding mix
1 (12 ounce) package vanilla sandwich
cookies
3 drops green food coloring
1 (12 ounce) package tootsie rolls

DIRECTIONS:
1. Prepare cake mixes and bake according to package directions (any size pan).
2. Prepare pudding according to package directions and chill until ready to assemble.
3. Crumble sandwich cookies in small batches in a food processor, scraping often. Set aside all but 1/4 cup. To the 1/4 cup add a few drops of green food coloring and mix.
4. When cakes are cooled to room temperature, crumble them into a large bowl. Toss with 1/2 of the remaining cookie crumbs, and the chilled pudding. You probably won't need all of the pudding, you want the cake to be just moist, not soggy.
5. Line kitty litter box with the kitty litter liner. Put cake mixture into box.
6. Put half of the unwrapped tootsie rolls in a microwave safe dish and heat until softened. Shape the ends so that they are no longer blunt, and curve the tootsie rolls slightly. Bury tootsie rolls randomly in the cake and sprinkle with half of the remaining cookie crumbs. Sprinkle a small amount of the green colored cookie crumbs lightly over the top.
7. Heat 3 or 4 of the tootsie rolls in the microwave until almost melted. Scrape them on top of the cake and sprinkle lightly with some of the green cookie crumbs. Heat the remaining tootsie rolls until pliable and shape as before. Spread all but one randomly over top of cake mixture. Sprinkle with any remaining cookie crumbs. Hang the remaining tootsie roll over side of litter box and sprinkle with a few green cookie crumbs. Serve with the pooper scooper for a gross Halloween dessert.

Witches Fingers
[Image: 501265.jpg]
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup confectioners' sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon almond extract
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup whole almonds
1 (.75 ounce) tube red decorating gel

DIRECTIONS:
1. Combine the butter, sugar, egg, almond extract, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl. Beat together with an electric mixer; gradually add the flour, baking powder, and salt, continually beating; refrigerate 20 to 30 minutes.
2. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Lightly grease baking sheets.
3. Remove dough from refrigerator in small amounts. Scoop 1 heaping teaspoon at a time onto a piece of waxed paper. Use the waxed paper to roll the dough into a thin finger-shaped cookie. Press one almond into one end of each cookie to give the appearance of a long fingernail. Squeeze cookie near the tip and again near the center of each to give the impression of knuckles. You can also cut into the dough with a sharp knife at the same points to help give a more finger-like appearance. Arrange the shaped cookies on the baking sheets.
4. Bake in the preheated oven until the cookies are slightly golden in color, 20 to 25 minutes.
5. Remove the almond from the end of each cookie; squeeze a small amount of red decorating gel into the cavity; replace the almond to cause the gel to ooze out around the tip of the cookie.

Mini Mummies
[Image: scary-halloween-food-but-delicious-do-yo...262344.jpg]
(basically just "Pigs in a Blanket")

1 package of weenies/franks
1 package of biscuits or crescent rolls
black olive

Flatten out canned biscuits or crescent rolls to about 1/8 inch. Cut into strips.
Wrap strips around weenies/franks to make it look like a mummy.
Make small slits in weenie/frank where "eyes" should be. Slice tiny pieces of black olive and put into slits.

Bake on cookie sheet pan, lined with wax paper, until biscuit/crescent roll turns light brown.
350 degree oven.

**you can use dried cloves for 'eyes' after baking instead of olive pieces***

Rotten Eggs
[Image: IMG_1274.JPG]

Boil one dozen eggs, to get boiled eggs.
Dont use any eggs that have cracked open.
Place cooled eggs in a plastic container.
Fill container half way with warm water.
Mix 1 tablespoon of BLACK food coloring paste in one cup of warm water, make sure its dissolved.
Pour black food coloring mixture into plastic bowl.
Add water, if needed, to fill up over top of eggs.
Place in fridge over night.

Drain in sink the next day.
Place eggs in strainer or colander in sink.
Rinse with cool water until coloring is rinsed away.

Eggs should be black, dark green, dark blue, or purple (depending on what colors were made to get black).

Let eggs dry.

Place in decorative bowl on table.

Bloody Punch
[Image: bloody-punch-halloween-recipe-photo-420x...k=Z6-RyEiB]
This wickedly refreshing "bloody" punch, made of sweet apple, cranberry, grape juices, and fizzy cola, is sure to chill your guests at your next Halloween bash.

What you'll need
3 cups cranberry juice
1-1/2 cups apple juice
1-1/2 cups grape juice
2 cups sparkling water or seltzer water
1 cup frozen strawberries or cantaloupe balls

How to make it
In a large pitcher or punch bowl, combine the cranberry juice, apple juice and grape juice. Stir, then refrigerate until you're ready to serve. At the last possible moment, add the sparkling water/seltzer, the strawberries or cantaloupe and, of course, the Floating Hand of Death.

For the Floating Hand of Death

In a measuring cup or jar, stir a few drops of green food coloring into some lemon flavored soda -- not too much, just enough to give it a slightly decomposed tint.

Pour the greenish soda into a disposable large rubber glove (the stretchy kind -- make sure it's not powder-coated inside) and tie the top securely. Place in the freezer for several hours or overnight.
(you might want to wash it out first)

At serving time, peel the glove off the hand and deposit icy hand in chilled punch. Yum.
