I was inspired to write this because a man who likely has breast cancer was denied a free mammogram from 6 different screening programs.

Breasts are breasts, even if they aren't big. Men's boobs are not big but that doesn't mean that they aren't boobs.

Breast cancer in men is not common, but it does happen. Unfortunately these mammogram places are geared up for women, not men. Men can usually get by with a regular Xray from a dr.s office for this, unless its something the dr. needs to order for the patient.

On a "funny" note....I was working a cash register once in a department store. This nice couple came up to purchase something. I couldnt take my eyes off of HIS boobs!!! The woman has small boobs, and her hubby had HUGE boobs! They were twice the size hers was. AND he was wearing a thin, white polo shirt that you could see thru!!! I could barely keep my mind on what I was doing, it was so distracting.

Both my grandmas survived breast cancer and several other family members have had it.

In Canada, I believe you can have a test scheduled through your doctor, if you so prefer, but I doubt you need to use that contraption that squishes your boob if you're male. Breast cancer doesn't really run in my family (as in no one has ever gotten it)... but I'm happy knowing there's a test available for me if I find weird lumps or anything.... which would be highly noticeable, I barely have anything there... I'm a little skinny.
