I think you are only seeing what you want to see as there is far too much assuming going on (Including that statement) and not enough reading the OPs original question properly.

I tend to think not, based on the fact I've been following the thread from the beginning. But I'd rather not derail it any further after this.

And frankly, my outburst was probably more excessive than it should have been so please accept an apology for the f-bomb at least. Even if I stand by the spirit of what I said I could have been more cordial.

Anon I think you shouldn't stop looking. Just get out there be active in your own life. Get yourself to a happy place first and then start looking around

Nurr yooh dun

also anon don't listen to pix cos she dunno anything on this subject or what it is to be looking for love. She thinks it's just about sex which I think is a complete miss interpretation

Actually, that didn't answer the question which was the difference between a friend and someone you date if at least the promise of sex (one day) isn't there, and no one has yet answered that question. Saying "look up the difference between love and sex" (which, btw, included sexual desire in the first definition when I did just for the hell of it) was confusing to me because I'd been making that difference all along.

However, I think I know what it is now. You think I'm saying he ONLY wants sex without anything more, no love, no affection, just some creep who uses people and discards them. That would make sense out of your reaction. But that wasn't what I was saying at all.

Lol...the f-bomb merely means the F word, as the c-bomb means the C word.

No I think I'm saying you think he means sex when there was no mention of sex. Plz don't say you think you know what I'm saying and or thinking.

How about actually reading the OP?

You are putting words into Josh's mouth, he is not saying anything BUT the OP's original request for advice was about being loved for who he is without having to change to meet peoples expectations.

You are the one running around talking about sex and hook ups.

So you won't answer the question of what makes a romantic relationship different from friendship? Then this misunderstanding cannot be resolved.

Over and out.

This discussion is about the OPs request, not your antagonising Wink
