Six-tailed asteroid mystery

This asteroid is doing something never seen before, so the astronomers are right to be a bit puzzled. The articles I've read say it's a small asteroid between Mars and Jupiter. There may be something to your disco theory though Love...

It could just be an asteroid with 6 humongous spikes and the ice particles just leaves at the tip to make a 6 tail scenery. It could also be a comet with a really good transmittance and somehow acts as a prism.

It seems asteroids don't have six tails, that's why it's mysterious.

And, if I read the article right, what's even more mysterious is the fact that these tails seem to change direction every 13 hours or so.

This is happening in the ass end of the universe and the Hubble telescope was able to detect it, so it has to be something really big and massive.

Asteroids don't have tails at all, comets do, and only when they approach the sun, and the ice content sublimates as water steam...

probably this particular asteriod is not just rock like every other asteriod but has some water in it, hence radation makes water sublimate at 6 points...nothing more to it..

Oh it doesn't need to be in a gaseous state. Jeez for the scientific one amongst us you don't know how to do your research before you throw of such crazy notions that the Nibirians turn gold into gas. Demonstrating once again that Evolution can't possibly work because you scientific types just don't do real research!
