I realized that Andy's twitter does not have 50,000 people legitimately following him.
So it's not that big of a deal, although it still bothers me mostly because it is not made absolutely clear.

No you can't, but you can control your own actions, and that includes what information you post about yourself and methods you use to protect your identity and your web presence.
You only know I am Australian because I have told you, If I didn't tell you then you would assume that I was from the most populated english speaking country in the world?
I have told you all that I am a 45yo gay male....if I hadn't told you that the only thing you could assume is that I am gay, bi or gay friendly and given that males seem to be more active in GS, it would be a fair assumption that I am male.
BUT having said all that, what do any of you really know about me? do you reckon I would be recognised out of the site?
